Help! I need some puppy name ideas please! :~)

OK, you guys always help out Davedrum pick out wonderful doggie names whenever he rescues. I thought you could maybe give me some good ideas too. I have never been real good at naming anything. I had a hamster for 2 years once and it took me 2 months to just start calling him Hammy. I know, I know.....I'm ingenious! ;) This precious little boxer needed a home, but I have no idea what to call her and my DH says I'm the one that gets to name her. She is my very first dog.

I have a tough time naming pets, and have wanted to revise one of mine. I named my lab/rott rescue mix Riley before I realized what a popular name it is...I cringe at the dog park! I actually wound up with my second rescue after joking that she'd have to have a name totally off the wall for a dog, like Martha; lo and behold there was Martha waiting to be rescued on my next visit to the local rescue agency!
So, based on that, I'd pick something totally rockstar - whatever that means to you. For example, I'd like to change Riley's name to Gene Simmons.
For you, maybe as an ode to a favorite author, painter, local activist, blogger, etc.?
Sometimes you just have to practice and see what fits!
Whatever you decide on, you'll probably wind up with several nicknames anyway - just have fun with it and congrats on the little cutie moving into your life!! :)
Okay, I am a total dork and realize I just skimmed right over the announcement: congrats on Bella!

Never mind sweetie....I'm 7 hrs or more ahead of most of you so I get lost too...the things these folks get up to in my sleeep... ;D

It takes me a long time to find an appropriate name for any new addition to my family, kids included. ha.................. :D
I just thought of another one.............SPANGLE ( i remember this from the 70's ... brought back some memories of my local sweetie shop) :P
OOPS..........sorry. :-\ I was going to post the other day but didn't have time , so I jumped straight in just now, and then I read the rest of the posts. Bella is a nice name , short and simple and does the job :D
