Poor Puppy!
My husband Andy found a puppy yesterday in the street while he was working in a bad part of town. Of course, he scooped him up and took him to our vet. Our vet said that he was 3 or 4 months old, and due to his condition, most likely lived his short little life tied up outside. The pads of his feet are slightly deformed and the skin on his belly is weathered and rough. Not to mention, he was filthy, covered in grease, oil, and tons of dirt.
So, he got a couple of shots and we brought him home, gave him a bath, and introduced him to our other dogs. Obviously, we're not looking for the owner, not that they wanted him anyway, so it looks like we have a new puppy. We are posting pictures of him around the office and stuff to see if anyone is interested in him, but I know I'll be way too picky about who he goes to, so we'll probably end up keeping him.
I'm trying to figure out how to post his picture here so you guys can see him. The vet said he looks like a Chow/Sharpei mix. We're also working on names.....
Hopefully I'll get the picture up in a minute.

I went home for lunch and the poor little baby peed in his crate. Its been so long since I've had a puppy...
And Andy tells me there are a couple of people at his work interested in taking him in....yesterday I was gung ho about someone taking him, but now it kinda makes me sad. I think I'm in love.....

i like elliot, but i think walters the best. he is so super cute i wouldnt want to give him up either. maybe you can become friends with the ppl that take him and then you can have visitation.

Update on the Puppy...
Andy found a man from his work that was in tears after seeing the pictures of the puppy. He had a dog just like him growing up and wants him very badly. At first I was very sad about letting the puppy go, but now I don't have much of a choice.
Last night, my oldest dog, Uncle Harry (beagle/bassett mix) attacked the puppy. I knew Harry wasn't a big fan of the puppys, but I figured they'd get used to each other in a couple of days. Harry was in my lap, and the puppy did nothing other than just walk by, and Harry lunged at him and grabbed ahold of his face for a good 5 seconds. The puppy cried and I freaked out. The puppy has a little cut on his eyebrow, but otherwise is fine. Needless to say, I'm sad, mad, and confused. Harry has a history of aggression that springs from his abusive past. I think the best thing for the puppy now is to have a good home, free from random dog attacks. I'll let you know how the hand-off goes.

aww thats so sad about harry attacking him, but it really sounds like the mad who wants the puppy would be a really great match for him, like that guy could really use a puppy in his life. good luck and let us know what he names him!
