vegetarian diet for dogs

I am a writer for All Animals magazine, the membership publication for The Humane Society of the United States. I am doing a story on dogs on vegetarian diets and am seeking interviews with owners who have their dogs on a vegetarian diet or who have used one in the past. I'm interested in all experiences (yours and your dogs!) - why did you choose a veg diet, how is your dog doing on it, have you had to discontinue using it and why, are you/did you work with a veterinarian, etc. If you are interested in being interviewed, please respond to allanimals.hsus.org with "veggie dogs" in the subject line and your name. I'm currently in the process of transitioning my dog to a vegetarian diet. We started a couple of weeks ago blending a little bit of his new 'veggie' food with his regular food, and progressing to adding more veggie food and less of the other. I'll let you know how it goes. We have already changed his treats over to veggie sweet potato treats and he loves those. I'm really hoping this works out and he turns into a super veggie dog:)
