What are your animal nicknames?

We all have 'em. We usually just use "OLEN" when we need to get his attention.

We most often call him: hey youuuuuuuu, Oleweas (if you don't know, I'm not explaining), fish ass (his anal glands are active every once and a while, and fishy), fish bootweas, sweet boy, good boy, and P calls him Bud and Buddy. Probably some other random ones. What are yours?

Jack, the Jack Russel terrier - Jackie, Jackie the ManDog, Jackie No Sackie (neutered)

Keesha, the half-Lab half either Shar Pei or Rottie, not sure which - Keesh, Water Buffalo, Heifer

Freya, tabby cat - Queen Beetch, Ms. Kitty, Madam

I hate this--my brothers used to call me "Fatty McGee" when I was a kid, for years! Oh, how I've been scarred!

We'll call you "Healthy Weight McGee"?

side note: when I first saw this thread, I thought it was about your "animal" name like furries do (Shadow Wolf and whatever ... crazy stuff), so I avoided until I realized no way that would be on vegweb.

I just started calling my cat "girlie girl".

She is just so feminin!  And she is super patient with my son.  I, unlike her, am NOT feminin.  The way here and my son get along (my son is 17 mo old) she treats him like she is big sister.  No joke.  She just puts up with him, looks annoyed, but with this look like: "yeah, I am annoyed, but I know you are  just a kid so I am just tolerating you!"  She is an awesome cat, really is.

My cat was named Peasy when I got her.  When I don't call her Peasy, I call her kitty-kitty, Peasy-Peas, or Pretty Peas.

I had a cat at my parents' house named Boo. They also have a black and white cat that weighs about 18 pounds, so when I was younger I started calling him "Shamu" like the whale (get it? He's huge). Then it got shortened to Moo/Mu. So they're Moo and Boo now!

My chocolate colored German Shorthair's name is Hershey but her nickname became Hershmeister.  I now use that for my Web name. My other dog who died last year was Winnie but I called her Princess Winnigins because she sat on the front seat of the car beside me and watched the world go by.  I think she would have waved to people if she could have.  She put a smile on everyone's face especially mine. :)

lol, oh gods yes.  Sully is sullycat, sexyfluff, fluffbottom, kittencat (he is HUGE, but has this little tiny girlycat mew) smoochieface, and in the middle of the night when he is on my chest, lardass!  He isn't fat, just the healthy Maine coon 23 pounds.

Syd is Sydpuppy, SydSydSyd, pupsillanimus, wagginbutt, boing (if you have ever known a JRT, you would understand), and dammitdog!  usually because he is so sneaky!

What a fun thread!

Zoomie is Zoomer, Zoomie lover, luv bug, sweetie pie, baby girl and more.

<<<< Ayla (the weenie) is Ayla babe, Miss A., luvbug, pumpkin, lovie.  and more

Max is Maxamillion, baby boy, Max Man, the Maxter, and Maxie.  and more.

I make up silly songs, rhymes and they all know them, know the tunes themselves even and know who momma is talking about at any given time, and if I'm singing and rhyming about one, they know their turn is coming.

I think it's kinda silly people think dog's names have to be one sylliable.  They all get called other things (sweet things in my case) and know it's them.  They have more intelligence to know more than one syllibale words.  And speaking of that, mine are all have quite a list of words they know, it's easier to count what words they don't know.

Best wishes
Ruth

Yes, what Ruth said!  They all recognize their own silly songs and rhymes.
The newest nickname in play around here is Dolphin Boy, (ala Sealab 2021) born when my husband aptly described our dog Reggie as "part cow, part dolphin".
