Tantalizing Tofu and Spinach Salad
Loved this. It calls for sauteed tofu in sesame oil separately cooked and then mixed with an Asian-inspired dressing made of rice vinegar, Braggs, miso, Asian chili sauce (I used sambal olek), maple syrup, ginger and olive oil. I was concerned that the olive oil wouldn't be a good choice for an Asian style dressing but it works just fine. They call for a garnish of gomashio which I don't have and omitted that. (tweety)
Delightful Rice Salad with Olives and Sun Dried Tomatoes
Sweet Pepper Balsamic Bean Salad
Fantastic Dijon Potato Salad
Claire's Red and Racy Potato Salad
Awesome Asian Noodle Salad
Auntie Bonnie's Chickpea Salad
I thought this would be a good healthy dish, and a way for me to eat some broccoli which I haven't had in a while, but is usually a staple food. I had low expectations and when I ate it, I was blown away at how good it was. Everything came together perfectly. The dressing is olive oil, balsalmic vinegar, Braggs (it was Barnard and Kramer that introduced me to Braggs, and it really brings out the flavor here in this dressing), lemon juice, dijon mustard and garlic. One of those "OMG! This is so freakin' good!" moments. It makes a lot. (tweety)

Matthew's Delicious Tofu
This is deceivingly addictive. I wasn't sure what to expect, other than I heard it was really good.. I mean it is called "delicious tofu". Turns out this is an awesome sweet and sour tofu recipe with just the right amount of spice from the garlic and ginger. I served it with steamed broccoli and the braised daikon from The Kind Life, and I nearly ate all of the tofu! I had to stop myself by putting it away for leftovers. My changes were using super firm tofu and I dried fried it instead of using any oil. Omitted the almonds. (blinknoodle)

I've made this thread several times and again the other evening when I had a date. It's my go to spread when I'm having someone over and want an appetizer. It's made from kalamata olives, capers, sundried tomatoes, a little garlic and lots of olive oil. A little braggs adds a great taste. The capers make it slightly tangy and the taste is amazing to me. People have always gobbled it up when I've served it. (tweety)

I had been eyeing that recipe for some time and it always sounded a bit odd but it turned out delicious. The ground almonds make for a very substantial, almost creamy sauce. I am not a bragg's fan so I cut it back to 1 tbl and subbed 2 tbl tamari and used the maximum amount of water. The only changes I might make next time would be to cut back slightly on the rosemary and balsamic vinegar. (jkl)

Wendy's Black Bean Chili
Curried Vegetable Pie with Chickpea Crust
Amazing. I've made it a lot over the years. I found it works best to prebake the bottom crust for a few minutes. Now that I am wheat free I decided to modify the crust. I followed the basic measurements, the subs I made were: 1 of the tbsp. of water I put ACV, 2/3 of the flour brown rice, 1/3 tapioca starch, oil instead of shortening, more cumin. The crust turned out better than it ever had! The filling is yum just as it is. I will make it again soon. (healthymomma)

Good basic beans 'n' rice bowl, Cuban-style. I added hot sauce for heat but might throw in some hotter peppers next time. (kristinv)
Tofu Chimichangas
Non deep fried chimichanga. I like the texture of Lightlife ck'n strips instead of the tofu, and I omit the beans, olives and Bragg's, and add Rotel. When they are out of the oven, I throw some Tofutti sour cream on top. Delicious! (michellelee)

Kathleen's Chocolate Cookies
Mum's Sugar Cookies
I used mini cookie-cutters. They turned out tasty! Not quite the shortbread texture I had hoped for, but I suppose it's called sugar cookies instead of shortbread for a reason. I made some icing for them as well. tasty and easy. (tino)

Intrigued by the fried tofu recipe above I dusted off this book. I remember back in the day when we here at VW were gaga over Barnard and Kramer like we are now Isa, et al. They were the superstars back then. Sadly, while I've had this book probably a decade it got pushed to the side during I time I was unvegan and I forget what great recipes are here. I've made a few things, but didn't mark them like I do now, and it's been so many years no need to review them anyway. Anway, it as I was thumbing through it I decided to make the following.
Auntie Bonnie's chickpea salad - I thought this would be a good healthy dish, and a way for me to eat some broccoli which I haven't had in a while, but is usually a staple food. Sesame Ginger Dressing
It's a good dressing, but I somehow think it'd be better in a tofu or veggie sauté. It just doesn't really suit my tastes. (haricot)
