I'm wearing a pink top, blue jeans and a brown jacket.  I should be easy to recognize.

I'm leaving from Arlington at 11:20 and will be at the Rockville metro at 12:40.

Are we still only 5?  How many are on metro?  Just me and Sharway?

Looking forward to our lunch and shopping excursion.  See you soon.  K

Errr, have no idea what I'm wearing-- need to find clean clothes! But I've got short blond hair and will probably be wearing long navy jacket. I look a surprisingly good bit like my profile pic, go figure. :)

Will see you at the metro, TV14.

Everyone probably already left, but have fun and I want to hear all about it!

And then we went shopping at Pangea:

You're fast, veggydog! I often let pics sit on my camera for days, even weeks...

So very nice to meet everyone today! The food was excellent, and I was really super psyched to shop at Pangea for the first time ever. I will definitely go back to both places.

See you all soon, I hope!

Sounds like you guys had a blast- I'll be there for the next one!

Trueveggie- just curious, did Fox Meadow ever email you back?

GreenT  - no, they haven't emailed me back yet.  It's a shame.

I have just remembered a good Maryland Vegan wine - Cygnus Wine Cellars.  I'm not sure where they are, but I tasted it at Wine in The Woods.  The wine festival in Columbia, MD every May.  Their Port of Manchester was a really good red.

W'eve eaten there.  It's pretty good and it's nice to walk around Frederick, they have alot of nice little shops to wander into.

I am so upset that I didn't go today, :( the food looks so good.  But it was for the best,  Dd got up very early this morning and was tired and fussy all day.

Glad to hear that you all had fun!

Will happen again soon, gardengirl!

For your reference, some of the stuff I mentioned:
Deep Creek Cellars
The recipe for that Afghan pumpkin dish I was talking about

TV14-- it was Aroma that I went to recently, not Nirvana. Nothing too special (not even veg, although obviously very veg friendly), but my friend really likes that place.

Oh and also, MDvegan, will you link to the BCG dressing made with agar? I searched today but couldn't find it. (As AMAAAAZING as she is, her website is not the easiest to navigate.)

Oh and one more-- I don't poke my nose in the Eating Out board much so this is several months late, but did everyone see this that gardengirl posted? I think that might be pretty close to some of you...

I can't find the one that I was looking for, but here are two similar recipes...

We are sorry to take so long to respond to your e-mail. The two additives we use for fining our wine is as follows

Bennonite this is a form of clay used to clarify the wine.
Cream of tartar which is used to cold stabilize the white wines and a few red wines. This eliminates the crystals found in wines after temperature changes in the wines environment

Fox Meadow Winery

Count me in!

I'm in San Francisco right now but moving back to DC next week, and I am ready to catch up on all the great DC-area vegan food I've been missing.  Great Sage, Vegetable Garden, Java Green, Sticky Fingers, here I come!  And I'd love to have some company!

AWESOME- this news made my day!  Thanks so much for inquiring- I was assuming they wouldn't be.  It is a really great winery too- what a relief!  Next time I go there I'll tell them it would be a nice fact to put on their website.
