I know there are lots of us within a 2-hour drive of the DC metro area. Anyone want to get together and eat or something?

That's so awesome! I will be so into this once I am unwired/banded/splinted. More 'me' time is up for this year!

Sharway, is the event on Tuesday the 6th or Thursday the 8th? And is the event location easy to get to? Have you been there before?

Have not been there before, but it's three blocks from the north exit of Farragut North or the south exit of Dupont Circle. May be a bit difficult to park though, for those driving, GreenT...

Is it close to a metro stop? Do they have food there? :)
Yes, Farragut North and Dupont metro stations. :) And also not too far from Farragut West, if you prefer the blue/orange lines.
And yes on food! It's all veg, and the vegan items are marked in their menu. Website.
If you want me to forward you the email, drop me a line with your address (greenT, I'm sending it to you know). Otherwise, here are the highlights:
-Happy Hour specials will be from 7-8 (they start at 6), we will have a list of what's vegan.
-At around 8 we will be doing shout outs, a chance for you to promote yourself, a group, or a cause. We will give you about 30 seconds to do your spiel, so be prepared (literature, business cards, fliers, etc...). We will have a signup sheet for those who are interested in doing a shout out--please limit shout outs to vegan/animal rights and welfare issues.
-Bring business cards, fliers, or pamphlets-- please remember to keep all distributions related to animal welfare/animal rights/veganism/etc. Also bring cash to tip bartenders. (You pay for your own drinks.)

Did anyone make it to The Science Club? I'm dying to hear how it went!
TrueVeggie and I were there! It was *really* crowded, so I didn't spend much time rubbing elbows at first-- had to wait for stuff to clear out a bit, but after it calmed down a little, I met some very nice people! DC*Vegan had a list of which drinks were 'vegan,' 'not vegan,' and 'don't know,' and of course there was plenty of vegetarian and vegan food (I didn't eat anything but heard the spring rolls were great).
Great turnout! Lots of good people from VSDC, COK, VegDC, etc. I won a DC*Vegan t-shirt in the raffle! :)

i think my baltimore funding is MIA so looks like i'm not going to go. i have 2 conferances that weekend, so i think i'll be skippin this one. booo and i wanted to go.
Well, I guess this is as good of a place as any...
I am planning on making the trip to RC and BP' s post-easter thing if anyone wants to ride with me. I have a (cough) SUV, so there is plenty of room!

I've been to the first two and plan to go to this one as well. I'll be out of the country starting March 17th, so this is the last weekend to hang out with me for a month or so.
