Tampa Bay Veg Fest 2011...and now, 2012!

The second annual Tampa Bay Veg Fest is scheduled for October 15th at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. Who's going to be there (besides me)?

Didn't see this the first time! I'm gonna try to make it, not sure though. My car can't make it that far, but I'll try to make some one go with me, haha.
I know right around then I'll be caught up in wedding maddness because I'm in my friends wedding and helping her make everything, and thats a couple days before, so I'll see what happens. I want to go though!!!
I really want to go. Depends on if I can get my parents to bring me to Tampa, though. :|

I really don't mind being return taxi service for anyone within an hour of Tampa.
Did you enjoy this one more then the one in Orlando last year?
I was unable to make it to the Orlando one last year, but I did go the year before and the Orlando one was definitely larger, but last year was Tampa's first year so hopefully it will continue to grow.

booo. i invited my old roommate that you guys met, regina, and she said she wanted to go. then i saw her today and she said her and her mom are gonna drive down together and that they hope to run into me. :[ now i have no one to go with.
I'm really hoping to stop by. Probably after yoga which ends around noon, and I'll be all hot and sweaty and smelly, but it's outdoors and I'll keep away from people.

I didn't know there were so many near-Tampa vegwebbers.
It was a great Veggie Fest. I was impressed at the number of booths this year. They got a major corporate sponsor in Whole Foods. There was lots of good food, animal rights activities, and rescues. I didn't spend a long time though and didn't listen to any speakers. I bought a t-shirt and like it but am irritated that "sponsored by Whole Foods" is on the front...kind of ruins the nice design. They should have had that on the back. IMO.
I agree, it was really nice! It was so wonderful to walk around and eat whatever caught my fancy (too bad my blood sugar didn't quite agree). My super-meat-loving mom and dad even thought the samples were good!

That's cool that your parents took you. Maybe they got some good information and stuff to think about. :)

I realize that nobody from my area has been on VW for a while, but if any of you newbies are in the Tampa Bay area, it's going to rock! Terry Hope Romero (author of Veganomicon, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, etc.) will be a guest speaker.
