Western CT Potluck - October 4, 2008

Who would be interested in coming to my house for a potluck? Danbury CT is easily reachable via car off of I84, Metro North Train and even Amtrak.
The date is October 4th and anyone is welcome from 10am till 10pm (or later if prior arrangements have been made, like a pup tent!).
My kitchen is not huge but I have enough entertainment area that even if it rains we can still have quite a crowd.

As for gifts, I was thinking personal things. Maybe a compilation of your favorite recipes, a jar of your favorite cookie or muffin mix, a tin of your favorite tea. Something you made like a scarf or hat, something you found like a dip and chip tray at Goodwill. Share something of yourself and anyone would be beyond happy to cherish it.
Do you have a dehydrator? Make a custom dried fruit mix. Bring a sprouting jar with delish grains to sprout. Think of something you love, share it with someone.

Its a potluck slumber partay! I have two rooms for guests, two couches, two air mattresses and plenty of floor space. The only thing I do not have tons of are blankets, so bring your blanky!
If people want to bring brunch supplies we can totally cook up goodies in the morning too.
My house is 3 hours from Boston and 2 hours from your LA. As I have never been to Albany I have no clue how far it is, sorry!!
Gift Exchange Rules were: Under $15. They will be numbered and you will get a number. We will open presents after cupcakes, hahah!

I really would like to come! I don't know anyone but I will promise to bring delicious food!
I'm from the southern area of Connecticut (Shelton/New Haven/Bridgeport) so if anyone wants to carpool, I can drive! I haven't had a chance to read through the whole thread yet, but yay I am excited for a potluck.
i have other friends who i was thinking of inviting. they aren't vegan, but they are vegan friendly (B and A were interested in coming, you met them).
is this an open party?! i have a friend in hartford that they can crash with. she was like "you can stay with me" and i was like, NO WAY VEGAN SLEEP OVER!!
B & A are very welcome! Hartford is over an hour away from me though. So that would be a long trek! And as I know them they are welcome to crash space.

Hi guys, I just logged on quick to ask about potluck foods. Does anyone know yet what they are bringing? Is there anything people WANT someone to bring? I am trying to plan ahead of time and budget my food monies.
bp, hartford is where I live. So I mean, yeah, it's not really close by. Case in point, I'll be crashing at Cali's as well.

Aww maaaan an awesome Cali potluck scheduled on the same day as my company's annual retreat. It ends by 3, might be able to make it from Boston by around 6 PM, if there are promises that you won't all be passed out from food coma by that time :)
