101 Ways to Use Avocados

I'm compiling a list of 101 ways to use Avocados since reading that they can lower your cholesterol by 17%!

Here are the few I have now:
1) Guacamole
2) Fried in a Sammy( off VW site)
3) Made into Sandwich spread( off VW site)
4) On top of Spaghetti(off VW site)
5) On top of Sammies
6) Substitute for Mayo

Any help would be appreciated ;)b

As you can see, I have a long way to go :o

yg, After I found out that avocado's can lower your cholesterol by 17% in just 8 weeks because it has the good mono fat in it. I did the math. The cholesterol medicine they want to put me on is $198 a month and an avocado a day would be just a little over $34 a month. Plus it would be a nature way to lower my cholesterol instead of more medicine in my body ;)b

Well I see your point about chemicals, but here in Spain because my husband is retired we don't pay for prescription medication from the NHS. They've taken it out of his taxes for the  past 40-odd years.

Yea, between my seizure, meniere's and multiple chemical sensitivity medicine...I'm already putting so many chemicals in my body. Let alone the cost!  I figured if I could just eat an avocado a day it would lower the cost/chemicals plus taste great ;)b

i saw a yoghurt recipe the other day on fatfreevegan.com that looks cool, it was like, avacado, cooked quinoa, strawberries and agave blended together, ima give it a go!  ;)b

I didn't know avocados lower cholesterol levels :) Medications all have side effects, many of them serious, so IF I had elevated cholesterol levels, I would go this route and see for sure.

I love this thread! My favorite sandwich in the world is an avocado, toasted sprouted grain bread, hummus(as a sandwich spread), and tomato, delicious and nutritious! Hurray for avos!

mine is similar :)
ezekial sprouted bread
a bit of vegainaise
half an avocado
tomato and a touch of sea salt.
