Another New Spinach Recall

OK, it seems like I just posted about the baby carrot recall a few days ago, and now there's another bagged spinach recall due to positive testing for salmonella. The California produce company in question is Metz Fresh LLC of King City, CA. This spinach was distributed throughout 48 states and Canada, sold in both retail and food service packages. The recall covers 10oz bags, 16oz bags, 4lb cartons, and cartons containing 4 2.5lb bags. Here's the article for further info:
That's always so scary. I LOVE spinach, eat a lot.
What's harder I think, is that so much food here is imported from CHINA. In order to avoid that, I buy frozen veggies from America. But these days, you wonder really what the difference in safety between the 2 is.:P
