Florida Crystal (sugar)

Has anyone tried the Florida Crystals sugar? Is it a vegan product and can its sweetness be substituted cup for cup for white sugar? I am trying to find sugar alternatives that are filtered without using bone char. I have noticed that some vegan cookies have listed on their ingredients "sugar (made without bone-char)" and am wondering what types of sugar the company uses. Any ideas?
As far as I know, it is vegan. It is an unbleached blond sugar, and I use it all the time. It is the only sugar I buy, and I use it in all my baking where granulated sugar is needed. It has a lovely flavor with hints of fruitiness.
Also, if you happen to have a Vitamix blender, you can use it to make an awesome powdered sugar, too.
Florida Crystals are not made with bone char. They are the only sugar I buy and can be used in place of regular sugar in any recipe, cup for cup.
for what its worth, a regular mixer or even food processer with a little corn starch will make a good powdered sugar ;)
Corn starch as powdered sugar? Where is the sweetness in corn starch? Am I missing somethin?!
cornstarch along with the sugar in the food processor.
