Onion marmalade / chutney

For some reason I have a real urge to make some onion marmalade or chutney. Don't ask me why, I just do.

Now I have never made any sort of chutney / marmalade / jam type thing before, so I was wondering if anyone has any tips or recipes that they recommend?

I've never tried this or heard of onion marmalade but I did find some recipes that I googled that might help you: http://www.countryliving.co.uk/index.php/chatroom/topic/3657. It's the fourth post from the top. This link has a lot of different recipes: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=532589 Some of these recipes aren't vegan but I think you could veganize them pretty easily. Mmmm...
