They were on super sale so I got some, now I don't know how to tell if they're ripe, or what to do w/ them. A little help?

I've heard of persimmon pudding. I've never made it because I've never had more than 4 persimmons at a time. Google "persimmon pudding" and a bunch of recipes will come up.

there are many different varieties of persimmons and determining their ripeness depends on the variety. does the sticker say what kind?
