sb speaks the truth.
SPLURGING IS WHAT THE JACK TACOS ARE FOR
deep-fried avocado is what puking a little in my mouth is for
"Jack Tacos" sound naughty.
And deep-fried avocado sounds like something Paula Deen would do.
*ducks to avoid the rain of overripe comestibles*

i know, kicked to the curb... outcast from vegan society lolssss
While I don't think Sriracha is the BEST hot sauce, it is certainly and undeniably delicious. Anyone who says differently needs a good old fashioned tar & feathering.
Synthetic tar and feathering, obviously. I AM THE FUCKING VEGAN POLICE
I'm in the Seabirds line. I'm almost up to order after a 40 minute wait. I'm pretty sure there's no way they're worth 40 minutes, but I'm going to try to keep an open mind. This week's menu has a lot of butter dishes.
It ended up being more like 30 to 35 minutes. I ordered the avocado tacos ($7) and they were completely unexceptional. I also got the brussels sprouts ($5; seared brussels with vanilla butter, toasted pecans, and pomegranate molasses) which was tasty.

LOL you didn't mean butter literally right?!
weren't you the weirdo who didn't like the thought of avocado tacos?
brussels sound yummmmm
They had "butter" in most of their dishes. I asked them about it and everything they sell is vegan, but they call Earth Balance or whatever they use "butter". Quite misleading, I say. There are omnis who don't want hydrogenated margarine and I, as a vegan, don't want dairy butter. They should switch to olive or coconut oil or something like that.
About the avocado taco: I talked it down so much, I felt obligated to try it. It's as pointless as I thought (I did try it with an open mind and a hungry stomach). The food doesn't match the hype, but I'm happy I tried it once.

HH, I grew up in Iowa. There, bog-standard soy-oil margarine was called "butter" by most people, because they never had anything else. Dairy butter was usually reserved for fancy cooking at Christmas etc. So I'm not that surprised that some people use the terms interchangeably, even in the restaurant business.
Me too, I have tried things once just to see, and to keep an open mind. Kind of like what happened this BD when we went to Bioparc. It was overhyped for what we got, but I'm glad I went, and I hope they make it better over time. Yeah, I was kinda disappointed, but I also had my heart set on having a good time, so I did.
I forgot to post the pictures. I WAITED HOW LONG FOR THEM TO GET SOMETHING DECENT ON THEIR MENU, FINALLY ACQUIESCED TO GROSS AVOCADO TACOS AND NOW THEY HAVE MAC 'N CHEESE (sautéed mushrooms, spinach, truffle oil, cranberries, toasted hemp seeds).
