Surely someone has a topic they want to post? Let's get this bb going again! I know I'm a lurker and not a frequent poster, but you guys have got to get me something to lurk on. :D
What's for supper?
Beans and rice for me I think.
;D
I had Spanish rice, refried beans & guiltless gormet chips w/salsa for dinner last night. Tasty!
Tweety -
Just before the big change-up, you had asked for dipping sauces for your falafel sticks. Did you get to read the/my suggestions?
By the bye - where did you get falafel sticks? I only know falafel from scratch, restaurants, or by box as a mix, and round to boot. Were they ready made in that shape?

Hey Red, I did get your recipes and am going to make the yogurt one, I just have to get some mint. That was the one I was thinking of. But I do hope to get the chili sauce too.
I found them in the frozen food section of my local HFS. They had the traditional round falafel as well, but that had more in it and was more pricey. The brand is "Mount Olive" and the package on the front says "Certified Vegan - AVA (American Vegetarian Association)".

PIZZA!
Veggie bacon, pineapple tidbits, and Follow Your Heart "mozzarella". Our grocery store carries an organic, premade, and vegan (!!!) crust in the freezer section. I was going to make tofu steaks with mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, but after I got home from class I was too tired to start frying things.
Stir fry...made with tempeh, red, yellow & orange peppers, red onion, baby bok choy, carrots...served over japanese udon noodles with sesame-miso sauce.
I had a ginger brownie for dessert (from the Bleeding Heart Bakery in Chicago..YUM.) and some ginger-lemon Yogi tea.
I made Seitan and dumplings for dinner. Turned out good. :D
Gonna have Garbo Burgers for supper. Can't wait. :)
Dinner...hmmm. I made myself a veggie broth and dumplings with bok choy, nori, water chestnuts and celery. Fruit for dessert. :)
I didn't get a chance to say hello when you popped on the other day. So, HI! Glad to hear you're doing well.
And tonight is pizza night chez sparkle j. JeT (the husband) makes awesome pizza crust, and I'm in charge of the toppings. Yum! I think we're going for an olive/pineapple combo this evening, with veggie pepperonies.

So glad to hear from you!!!
So, what animal friends are you currently residing with?
Currently, we live with two cats and a fish: Crookshanks, Phoebe, and Sucky. I'll leave you to decide who's who.
I'm in grad school. Don't remember if I'd mentioned that before. Going to be a librarian (specifically an archivist) by the time I'm done with school. Hooray!
How's things?
I had paella with lots of saffron, peppers and black beans, and then toffee pears for dessert, with custard!!
I'm not cooking tonight. One of my lifelong friend's father died and there was a memorial service at our church this afternoon. This evening I'm invited to a dinner with close family and friends. Hopefully I can find enough salad and buns to fill me up. (The service was very nice - a celebration of his life and not gloom and doom. He was 84 and lived a good life.)
for dinner lastnight i had sasquatch chili(from the recipe section of this site)with baked potato using earth balance buttery spread yummmmmm fresh cracked pepper n sea salt
Wendie, sorry about those circumstnaces. Glad it was more of a celebration of a life rather than a sad time.
