tofu on kebabs

so i'm planning on making some kebabs - orange & green peppers, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and tofu. but i'm not quite sure how to flavor the tofu, or if this would even be good. all i have on hand is firm, too - will it hold well? these, by the way, will be cooked with my oven broiler.

thoughts? suggestions?

I would marinate them first in something like an Asian sauce, or balsamic vingear and olive oil, or any number of things.  I made kibabs with Thai satay sauce before and it was yummy.
