Vegan Disneyworld - Orlando

I have the book for vegetarians in Disneyworld, and I think we're ready to go. But I thought I'd check in see if anybody had any good advice or tips for vegans in Disneyworld.
Thanks!
I had that book too. My experience was very disappointing. I went to one of the icecream shops for the Tofutti....don't bother! It was biggest most horrendous deal ever! They had no idea what I was talking about and it was holding up the line, and by the time they figured it out I was so embarrassed! Then, I was walking down the street with my Tofutti cone, and felt gross because I looked like I was eating an icecream cone. So here I am excited to be able to "join the masses" and have icecream, but then I was in a hurry to eat it as to not look like a typical icecream eater. I am vain I guess, what can I say? Plus, it was way more expensive than the regular icecream. I think I figured out I could buy 2 pints for what I paid for that embarrassing cone.
They have a vegan breakfast with Cinderella but you have to have a reservation and they book about 6 months in advance or more. The vegan bearclaws are no more (are those still listed?).
Actually, you need to go out to eat at a restaurant in Orlando called "The Garden Cafe". They are online. Its a Chinese restaurant but EVERYTHING is made with meat substitutes. I recommend the house chicken or orange beef. I am drooling right now! That place is heavenly! Careful, the eggdrop soup is real.
If I were you I would sneak in my own snack food for the day and then eat out after!
Good Luck!
Stephanie
P.S. My 3 year old at the time was scared of most of the rides. I hated Disney...not to ruin your plan or anything! Hopefully your kids are older.
