Vegan etiquette

Hi everyone!! I have a wedding to attend and I wanted everyone's opinion on the proper etiquette when picking your meal at a wedding when your choices are all carnivorous. My husband who is a meat eater said to pick the beef and he would eat mine and give me his salad. This sounds a bit greedy but I don't want to trouble or offend the bride and groom. Any suggestions?
I always pull the server aside discreetly and say I'm vegetarian can you do something and they always say yes.
Thanks much!! Do you think I should still select an entree on the invitation or leave it blank?
You must tell them before hand, or you will end up with sh*t. IF you can't do that, be extremely polite, and just ask for something vegan.
And seriously, your husbands suggestion would have pissed me off no end, how bloody greedy and incosiderate.
if you still have time to respond to the invitation then definitely mention it. It really isn't a problem for the ktichen. I thought the wedding was this weekend.
Thanks all I will indicate on the invite. PS in defense of my husband I think he was half joking. Lol
