You are here

the bOOb poll

You can vote for 2 choices, in case you're between sizes or you're a dude with DDD's.

Or is it the outline of a b00b... uh, with an inverted nipple? ??? :P

Don't judge!

B...*sigh*

One of my girlfriends asked me why all I ever wear are sports bras.  I asked her to go find me a bra that's a size 40B and costs less than $20.  nothing yet...and that was 6 months ago.

Try finding a 30DD that's less than $60. Still looking...

I wonder if it's because of the estrogen from soy that makes us more likely to have biggins? lol... not sure!! Weird!

:waa: I have been trying to "downsize" for a long time...I was born and raised vegetarian, but recently switched to full-on vegan...I am hoping that by not ingesting all of the hormones in dairy I might shrink a few sizes in the lady lumps department. Does anyone have any additional "secrets" to decreasing the bust? I know spot training in the area is not really possible (there are some exercises but just losing weight is the general notion I have heard) and there aren't any "miracle" cures...but just curious!! Thanks!! ;)b

How about you give some to me? That fixes both of our problems  ;)b

Other than that, I wish I could be more helpful. When I started losing weight, it started in my boobs.

I usually just read this site and maybe post a recipie but the bOOb discussion hit me - I guess, right in the chest.

I am a 32 G and have had difficulty with boob size since... forever. I always thought I was a 36 DD, nothing else would cover and not have the band slide right off my back, or have full spillage in the front.

My life was changed - no really - when I finally went to a bra store, where they fit you, and found my real size. (which is SO easyto find in a regular store - feel the scarcasm.)

From reading through the boob descussion and poll, it looks like there are a few of you who have bra issues too. There is a proper way to be fitted, and you really do need a friend to measure because you can mess with the sizing doing it yourself, trying to read the tape through your bOObs in the frount. And unfortunately, if you are large chested you will not get super comfy (well not comffy for lounging around) or super cute, not if you want support, less bite into the shoulders and less jiggle (yup, less jiggle is what I look for, I no longer have to wear huge clothing to prevent employers form telling me my clothing is indecent.)

Unfortunately, to buy my bras it is REALLY pricy to buy from a store,130$ and up. (Canada has some interesting pricing when you leave the major chain stores).
So I buy my bras from the UK, they sell all the crazy sizes (28-44, A-J/K) and incidently they sell bathing suits in same said sizes...bliss. Sadly I will never own a cute bra...which is fine if the trade-off is not looking porn-star in a low cut shirt, or any cut shirt really, haha.

Take care of your bOObs girls, prevent sag and back problems~

I just had a similar experience. I've been wearing 42DD, and some DDD. I went into a store that carries larger sizes, and tried on a 38H. It fit perfect! I've never had a bra fit like this one. I still want to have someone fit me, but at least now I know I'm much closer to my real size. Knowing that I don't have to just settle for whatever *barely* fits anymore is very nice. Thank you, Dilliards!

I put C, but I'm not sure. None of my bras seem to fit me very well.  >:( I have a 34D that used to fit reasonably well, but now seems too big. Maybe I lost weight? I have a 34C, which  still fits pretty well. But I have another of the same size and it seems.... The straps are too long, scratchy, and my nipples keep poking out. I have another D one which fits pretty well overall. There's another bra which is a little saggy. It's hard to tell if some of them are just saggy cuz I've had them so long. I haven't been bra shopping since I was 17, and I'm 20 now, but I haven't had enough money to shop for socks or underwear. It's awful trying to be buy that stuff. Walmart has some cheaper stuff, as does Zeller's, but they don't have the right stuff. Mostly flowery granny panties in sizes waaaaaaaaay too big for me, and then mostly A cup bras. What the hell? I can just imagine the kind of woman who must shop here...  ???

Then there's Sears, but that's all old lady shit. Their nighties look like something off House on the Prarie. I'd rater try and sew my own thanks! We have a LaSenza and La Vie En Rose, but their stuff is super-fancy, expensive, and not that great for daywear imo. Besides,  none of those places offer coordinates which irritates me. Why doesn't the person designing this stuff make it coordinate? If I gotta dish out all this money, I don't wanna wind up with a turqoise bra and an orange thong. Puh-lease! Can I at least get a pink bra with a similarily coloured brief, or maybe three? And in none of those places (except Sears) can anyone help you with sizing. The last time I got sized the lady tried to put me in a B. I was in pain trying to get in there!!!!! I was like, "You nuts lady. I haven't fit in a B since I was 12." Maybe my tits are lopsided? WTF?

But maybe I'm just frustrated because I'm too poor to afford a decent bra.  >:(

I need to change my vote on here but I can't. I was bewildered by European bra sizes and put off getting a new one until I was visiting back in the states, where I ended up with a DD instead of D. I guess my weight gain can explain that. But then the underwire in my one black bra broke in both cups when I got back to Berlin. So I tried to go buy a new bra but the largest size in the stores I was at was D. Today I finally found a store with larger sizes (and higher prices, of course) and I ended up with an 80E! Okay, so the 80 is just because it's the Euro size instead of US size. But I don't see how I could have gone up another size again. Ugh. It's not the comfiest thing, either.

I'm about at 34 D or C. It's all kinda dependant on the maker.

Algae, you did not change cup size, just notation like the band.  D would be the same, DD=E, DDD=F, etc  The multiple D's are old style notation but the change in the US began several years ago.  Honestly, in my opinion, a 42G makes much more sense than 42DDDD.  (yes, I did see that size at a local discount dept store I used to work at.)

I just bought the Genie Bra at Bed Bath and Beyond. SUPER awesome. I like it better than my coobie! The infomercial doesn't do it justice. ANd they make it seem pretty awesome, don't you think?!

I'm losing weight so I honestly don't know what my boob size is anymore. My DDD bra is a joke these days and my DD is loose so I'm figuring D ? My husband is "the boob man" and he said C, so I had to pick C too . LOL pathetic I know.
