the BOOBS thread

written "BOOBS" and not "boobs" to maximize the semblance to boobs.

continued from the "'you're kind of heavy for a vegan'" thread. We were complaining about boob size, but anything boobs-related goes here. Complaints, praise, musings, whatever.

What kind of sport's bras do you wear?  I've had to double up for some time until I found 'Moving Comfort'.  Their bras are amazingly comfortable and supportive.  They can be a bit pricey, but totally worth it considering the alternative.  If you're lucky you can maybe find them cheaper on E-Bay or at Ross. :)

Okay, this is a little embarrassing. I hate buying new bras, I don't know why, but it makes me really nervous (mostly because they're expensive and I'm scared they won't fit right, but after I take the tags off!). I double up and wear 2 sports bras, and just smoosh them down Hilary Swank/Boys Don't Cry style.

I've heard a couple of people say that's a good brand, so maybe I should try to find them. I don't like buying bras online (oh, I have a story in a second), and that's been the only place I could find them.

Okay, my boyfriend is the sweetest. He knows I HATE to buy bras/go bra shopping (or go shopping in general), so he went to the website www.barenecessities.com to buy a couple of bras for me. They have weird sizes, so if you struggle to find yours, look here. The bras aren't cheap though! Anyway, the bras came yesterday and they were AWFUL! He thought that I would want a "cute" bra, and let me tell you, I've really never seen a cute bra in my granny size that could hold these puppies up. They were lacy and see-through and had NO SUPPORT at all. He was crushed. He thought he'd done this super nice thing, and they were just awful. We have to send them back. Poor guy. That's what he gets for stumbling into the awful world of bra shopping!

You know what sucks? Bathing suit shopping. Why are some suits sold as a set? I can't imagine most people being the same size on top as on the bottom.
Also I am surprised at how hard it is to find a bikini top for huge boobs. In a regular store, everything is either in a triangle top, or in standard small-medium-large sizes where the large doesn't even come close to being able to contain my rack.

I think at Target they sell the pieces separately. I remember I came across this issue when I went to get a swimsuit at some sports supply place... I "secretly" switched the M and the L tops. I justified it by imagining some oppositely "disproportioned" girl would get the other mismatched set.

my boobs felt nice today. sometimes i just rest my hands on my boobs or just hold them because it's comfortable (people stare when i do this hahahaha) but i was like hey, you girls aren't too bothersome today, good girls". heheheh good boobies.

they're fun to play with, i have to admit, even though they're a pain.

I play with my boobs a lot too - mostly just hold on to them - my dad always used to give me a weird look and ask me if I was worried they were gonna go somewhere....

I am crushed. I have really only one bra that I like and wear and it lifts and supports. For some reason, my dog is in love with this thing and any time I accidentally leave the closet door open he runs in there and grabs it. Usually I catch him. Today, I'm not feeling well and I'm not up on my dog-watching duties, and he destroyed it. A 60 dollar bra! I am beyond upset right now. I don't know if I can sew it back together.

That's terrible. I really hope you can save it. I definitely have a favorite bra. A discount VS bra. It's bright blue!

Do you have any specialty running stores near you?  Or, in a big city that you might make a trip to?  Give them a call and ask if they have that brand and what sizes are available.  Trust me... take a friend with you for emotional support when trying them on! :)

This was me shopping for a bathing suit last year: totally frustrated and on the brink of tears.

My mom: You wanna go to Starbucks? Come on, I'll get you a latte, and we'll go to another mall.
Me: Can we get a latte and go home?

I ended up buying online, and it was on sale, and it fit! And it arrived just in time for my vacation.

I have 32 DD`s and their obnoxious. For one its really hard to find a bra in that size that isn't a million dollars or looks like something my great grandma would wear. I'm starting to think that all the clothing designers out there have little boobs and hate girls with big boobs. Another thing that sucks is my selection in shirts because the cute little tops my friends wear make me look like a total slut. :-[ I have a smaller frame and they really hurt my back. My posture really sucks because of them beings so heavy I rarely sit up straight. I need to work on strengthening my back muscles. I have two bras that fit but I'm down to one because the straps broke on my other one and it always happens... I seriously have had like 5 bras and a million spaghetti strap shirts break. It blows to spend 50 bucks on a bra and have it break.
I like to go running but have to wear two bras to keep from hitting myself in the face.  The only thing that is good about them is that they can hold drinks and the guy I'm into is in love with them and they make me feel confident when I'm around a lot of other girls. Not so grea is when they bring more attention than I want like when some idiot yells out a window or in a mall "Hey, you have big boobs!" Really? I hadn't noticed... not like their attached to the front of me or anything. I used to be mortified by them growing up, I started getting them in the 4th grade no lie I had a B cup, by 6th grade a C cup, 9th grade a D cup and DD by the time I graduated. Girls in elementary and middle school used to make fun of me and say that I had fake boobs and I would go home and cry every night. I still think that kind of haunts me becuase I think people are laughing at me but I have kind of become used to them now and their fun for naughty purposes, ha ha.
END BOOB RANT...

I'm flat-chested and like to ignore that they exist at all.

In high school I was insecure about being flat because my friends called them mosquito bites (ignoring that I swell up HUGE with real mosquito bites).  I was already a bit of a tomboy, but I think that because of my friends, I didn't think I could be feminine without breasts.  That pretty much sealed the deal for directing my tastes and is likely the reason I wear lots of men's clothing today.  (I was also worried that no one would ever like me because I was breast-less, but that turned out to be wrong, too.)

I kindof feel like I could be a 30 and not 32?
Just because I start off wearing them on the tightest one generally, and then they stretch and get all loose and then I can't have the straps tight enough because the back just comes up instead of it doing its whole job of support. Hrmm.

I all but stopped running and am more into elliptical now, only need one bra, much less bouncing.

Funny story, my husb and I were having sex, me on top and I actually had to tell him, either you hold them (my boobs) or I go put on a bra, cuz the bouncing was killing me!

Oh yeah, I know that feeling. And it feels like such a weird thing to have to pause for, haha.

I love how we have 7 pages of boob-talk!  ;D

Ok, I'm also more um.. "busty".  I hate it! I want to wear cute strapless dresses, especially with Spring/Summer coming up! Strapless bras give NO support and going without is out of the question!  One step too heavy in a strapless dress while free-boobing and I'd be flashing the world. :(  Even tops with thin straps don't work, because I wouldn't want my bra strap showing.

And I know how you feel too octoberbunny, both on the "first bra=b cup" and "cute tops looking slutty"! It's like anything that clings to me I worry I look like I'm.. I don't know.. trying too hard to attract attention, or something. (I wouldn't say "slutty" ;) ) Still, I see all the cute fashions and I'm just jealous, I wish I had small breasts! Instead I wear lots of things to try to hide my figure. :(

yeah, I reaaalllly need to buy new bras.  I'm generlly the type who wears one over and over and over then wears it out and moves on to the next.
Last year I decided I would get out of this (and I wanted a 'pretty' bra for N which I've never had before) so I went out and bought 4 new bras.  On the first or second wash one of them (my fav) had one of the clasps break, so I couldn't adjust the strap and it was always too loose, so that one went in the bin.
Then few months later my washing machine ate the another bra right up for no reasson - the back strap and one cup was all chewed, but no other clotes in the same wash were damaged and no others since!
So that leaves me with 2 bras - one I wear all the time which is black but the other I hardly ever wear because it's white and I want to save it for when I wear light clothes so it doesn't end up gray.

I need me some new bras, but there're so expensive for what they are - and I wear a normal-ish size!

Ugh. Yes about bras being too expensive. And I want to wear cute little dresses and such, but have resigned to the fact they are not meant for me.

My bra the other day kept unclasping at the back and at the clasps on the straps. I had to go home from school and change because I had to give a presentation and coming undone was not an option.

Ps: this is weird to post about from my mom's phone!!
