Curly's lunch. Try the FauxPhilly Cheesesteak and the suna salad sandwich (fake tuna salad sandwich).
I got my daughter the FauxPhilly one I thought it looked like a masterpiece. I had the suna sandwich it had lots of mayo which I loved. I don't know I liked it .
And also have fun in NYC.
There are so many places to go and so little time, i like Kate's Joint and i have been wanting to try Blossom Gourmet, it is expensive though...

I also highly recommend Blossom. I can never be back in NYC without stopping by there for lunch or dinner (sometimes both....on the same day ::)). Truly one of the best anywhere.
thanks. I am looking for a lighter (not greasy or heavy) meal since I just finished a juice fast....
curly's looks good they have a TLT sandwich.
I'll wait on Blossom since I want to really enjoy it.

We didn't try the sweet potatoes but we tried the curly fries I think they were good. We didn't try the side salad.
I've been to Red Bamboo too. I wish Curly's was on Long Island I'd go there every weekend.
skip curleys and go down to Caravan of Dreams on sixth street off first avenue
or splurge and go to candle 79 or its nearby sister candle cafe

Have you gone to Green Melody in Jericho NY. Its a vegan/vegetarian (not sure) chinese place and my bf his best friend love it. It recently opened up in Feb. and it is inexpensive. Its on the Whole Foods shopping center.
I will visit those restaurants JKL one day. I just want something light and inexpensive as I am breaking a juice fast and won't have a huge appetite.

I never heard of Green Melody. I'm planning to go to Whole Foods and Trader's Joes to see which is better.
When I'm at Whole Foods I'm going to try Green Melody.
Did you go to school in Lindenhurst? I know some teachers that work there.
Green Melody is in the same shopping center as Whole Foods but further down. Don't get the pork lo main unless you like greasy food. I was in shock how much it tasted like pork (or what I remember it). I actually got pretty grossed out.
My bf LOVED the corn soup with chicken in it.
They have a great lunch special form 11-4 for under $7.00 (i think).

Did you hear Zen Palate closed on Long Island? A reader mentioned it in a review.
I'm very surprised they were very busy when I went there.

Yes, Bellmore......born and raised there....do I miss it? Nope!!!! Though I could not imagine what my life would have been like if I was raised elsewhere.....no regrets...but no going back, ever! ;)

PS: Still have family on LI...including 1 brother that lives there with his wife and child......I always preferred our weekend/summer home in Montauk...can you blame me? ::)
