Wickenden St is in walking distance (A long walk though) and there are a bunch of cool cafes that have vegan stuff. (Amy's Place, Cafe Zog, plus a bunch of Indian and Japanese places.) Waterfire is in kind of a strange place, not really near any restaurants. If you wanted to take a little ride, The Garden Grille (right over the border in Pawtucket) is amazing and there's a Whole Foods that has a little restaurant type deal on North Main St. Good luck, let me know if you need any more info! (I'm from RI and here right now, though I don't live here permanently.)

It's a little hard to describe how to get there. Waterfire runs down this river, which is parallel to South Main St. To find that, look for a really steep hill, then walk up it. South Main runs parallel to Benefit St- walk up the steep hill again! Make a right and follow Benefit to a major intersection, turn left onto Wickenden. I suggest a google map and it would be MUCH easier to take a cab!
If you decide to take a cab, I would recommend The Garden Grille. It's 100% vegetarian, delicious, and a cool atmosphere. Here is their website: http://www.gardengrillecafe.com/
Good luck! Let me know if you have any more questions!
