What's with the meat, VegNews??

It seems VegNews has been using stock photos of MEAT and other non-vegan foods in the magazine, and "pretending" they were the vegan food being discussed. I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty disgusted and won't be a subscriber any longer. If I wanted to look at pictures of meat, I'd buy an omni cooking magazine.  :-\

I understand where you are coming from.  The sad thing is even omni food is "misrepresented" in the professional food artist world.  Those beautifully browned turkeys (from an omni perspective) on food mags are raw under a blow torched skin.  All the "got milk" adds used some other substance for the "milk mustache".  Steaming pizza has alcohol poured on it to create the 'steam", making the product inedible.  Marbles are put in soup to prop up the veggies in the broth so they can be seen in the photo.  The list goes on and includes many nonfood items used to represent food because they photograph better and hold up under the lights longer.

Very little is ever what it seems.

Do you think VN will ever get the picture, though?
