DIY Christmas
This year I'm aiming for almost completely doing DIY gifts. I think I'll enjoy the time spent making them and there are some really nice options and ways to keep them from looking like a first grader's project (which is only cool if you're in first grade).

aggplanta, I have made bracelets like that first link, but instead of using a plastic bangle inside I knit a bangle/cuff, then wrap. It's a little less bulky, plus it's cheaper because all you need is yarn and needles/hook.

i like the idea of a knit cuff....don't know how to knit though....i sense a new project coming my way...
Baking and making upcycled/recycled stuff. I'm also going to be giving "gifts that give more" like donations in people's names and adopting/buying things for people which give to other people. I'm going to check out your links!
sweet. Last year I had zero funds so I made everything, it was way more fun than buying a bunch of stuff. I always bake for my cousins. I'm going to check out those links!
If you check out the Reusing_______ thread, I left a bunch of links there. You might be able to find some good things to make there. The good thing about those is that you will probably already have most of the stuff you need so you will either not have to by anything addition or just a few items.

Upon research today I'm thinking of baking and making bath and shower stuff, candles, jewelry and maybe bags.
I'm embroidering dish cloths for people(I'd love to post a pic if I could find my charger), and I'm going to make some pine cone firestarters for my dad, and some re-useable containers from milk and juice cartons. Mainly b/c we don't have any money this year.
