bone(?) china?

I'm in the market for new dishes and I am completely in love with those cheap little white-and-blue ones that you find at Asian markets.  Can anybody tell me if these are china, or porcelain, or what?  And does all china have bone in it or just the stuff that is labelled as such?

Thanks for your help!

i did some research 'cause i was intrigued by the question, and it looks like the only china with bone in it is "bone" china BUT it's going to be kinda complicated finding out if that tableware has bone in it. apparently there's a synthetic version of bone ash (hydroxypatite -- it's lime and phosphoric acid) that can be used in "bone" china. if the tableware is "bone" china, you'd probably have to contact to company to find out if it uses real bone or not.
