You are here

checking in from the hospital

Hi everyone.  I have been trying since Wedneday to check in.  I was admitted to the hospital with blood clots in both lungs.  I will be here a few more days while meds are worked out.  The internet here is intermitant at best.  Sometimes I can check regular e-mail, sometimes not.  Often I can get to the home page of VegWeb and loose my connection when going anywhere else.  Honestly, I am wishing I had the menu from a hospital in Portland propper instead of the burbs.   Missing you guys.

Terri

Oh, sweetie, no wonder you've been on my mind!! I hope they take care of you. Sending prayers your way...or rather His.

Yabbit, your b-day present is stiing on my kitchen counter (unless someone "put it away") It took me a bit longer than I expected to get it because I was fighting a nasty cold that went into an URI. I thought it had become either bronchitis or pneumonia. I had been wiped out for a while. Now I know why. :(

Good news, I am being moved from CCU any time now to a regular room. Expectations are 2 more days here but the lab work will make htat decision.. No good reason for the clots has been found yet.

We'll see if that works...it's supposed to be a kitty throwing kisses.

Just got home today, took shower, caught up on Facebook since my second room did not have an internet connection, now checking in here. Doing somewhat better. I am told I will make a full recovery but it may take a few months. I am out of immanent (sp?) danger.

Thanks, Storm, I appreciate it.. It takes a lot to freek me out. Not knowing was worse than knowing. Once we found out what it was, the doctors could do something. They called in a cardiologist thinking it was a heart attack. That scared me since my father died of a heart attack when he was 5 yrs younger than I am. Although it could have been fatal if untreated, I ended up at the right place early enough. For that, I am grateful.
