costume ideas?

so two of our mates are having a combined birthday party in a few weeks and they want everyone to dress up as something beginning with either T or G
So far, I'm stuck.
I don't mind doing a little bit of op-shopping for it, but would rather not have to spend too much so preferably things I can fudge with stuff we have at home.
Anyone good at costume ideas?
All suggestions welcome : )

Agh! I forgot it's a cultural thing/US thing. Green Giant does like canned/frozen vegetables and stuff.

N will be gutted it doesn't existin NZ as he loves GG corn.
As for costume ideas I have none
haha, maybe it does, but I don't buy frozen/canned vegetables so I don't tend to pay attention to them. But I don't think so. I've certainly never seen any advertising or whatever for it.
I have a "T" costume that would be real easy. . . transvestite.
I was thinking transvestite too. Lol.

I would have done the tetris but mr oww was not as keen as I, and I really would just be some weird girl in a box if I did it on my own.
He wants to go as something that is both a cop-out, because he didn't make it, and, I think, not even within the theme, but whatever.
I don't think the 't' in 'the' counts, but he says it does so he's going to be 'the doom guy' which is something to do with some computer game or something? It's the costume his mates made him for his stag party before our wedding, anyway.
Hopefully will put the grapes together tomorrow and will put up some pics : )
Well, "Guy" starts with G. So technically, he's got both T and G in The Doom Guy. But I agree it's a cop-out. He just wants to recycle his other outfit so he doesn't get a brain cramp thinking up a new one.

Did they, or did they not, spend the entire evening trying to "accidentally" pop your grapes?
It has never occurred to me to draw muscles onto a shirt for an inexpensive costume. I'm taking that idea.

Yabbit, not so much, but it did turn out that my sewing skills aren't as flash as they could be, and a number of balloons fell off over the course of the night.
Also, pretty much no-one could figure out what I was meant to be! They were asking 'are you a garden?' 'is it meant to be greenery?'

But it is a good idea. That's what his mates made for him for his stag party when they all went to a farm and got very very drunk and set things on fire. I'm pleased I was far far away from all that!

Yeah, she is way cuter than the California Raisins. (I had an African American friend who went to a party dressed as a CR...the costume involved black trashbags...LOL)
Any new costume ideas for this Halloween? I'm trying to do something really creative this year!
Cyets, I'm just going to be either max from where the wild things are or Lisa Simpson0because they are both really simple. I have a knitting pattern for a sweater/hat like in the movie, and Lisa just = orange strip of fabric with zigzag bottom, Mary janes, pearl necklace and a funky up do.
I'm thinking about doing something from a 90s cartoon. Like Patty Mayonnaise from Doug. I was thinking about bananas in pajamas, because I have a banana costume, But i think it would be entirely too hot to wear a banana costume and pjs.
Or maybe Misty from Pokemon.
The hard part is figuring out one I can partially wear to work incase I have work that day.
I think I might be Edward Scissorhands!
