costume ideas?

so two of our mates are having a combined birthday party in a few weeks and they want everyone to dress up as something beginning with either T or G
So far, I'm stuck.
I don't mind doing a little bit of op-shopping for it, but would rather not have to spend too much so preferably things I can fudge with stuff we have at home.

Anyone good at costume ideas?
All suggestions welcome : )

I'm gonna be Dwight Schrute from The Office. Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.

!1. A zombie from any Era..

2. A ghost from any era

3. A ghost with ripped up shreds for clothes. Shredded white dress. Made a shredded vail, by using a glue gun, and glue pieces of shredded strands of fabric.

4. Dead doll.  Doll dress, stripped tights, maryjane shows,  noose around the neck, white face, and make it up with blood and shadowing.

  5.  :D

I am in need of some costume ideas!

my roomate has an awesome pair of white wings (not real feathers, its actually strips of white fabric), they are actually retired vicoria's secret wings.
so...i wanna wear the wings but I feel like the angel thing is so overdone and being a bird would be kinda unflattering.
I am open to any ideas/suggestions/comments on this

Thank you!!!!!

Well, of course, my first thought is a VS model.

Nike (the winged Greek mythological goddess - not the shoe)

ok, so I'm going to a pharmacy conference in 3.5 weeks and I just found out that the saturday night dinner thing is fancy dress.  The theme is flights of fancy.

What do I go as - bear in mind in between now and then I am moving house and have a gift exchange package to organise, so am reasonably limited on time.

Suggestions so far have been - air stewardess, fairy, superhero, kite.

I have a philosophy class on halloween and the teacher is giving extra credit to whoever has the best "philosophy- themed costume." but idk what i could do for that?

Make it somehow do with The Allegory of the Cave and you'll win.
Philosophy teachers love the cave. Hah.

I want to dress up but I'm in class from 1030am until 10pm so I don't want to do anything too intense because I'll bit sitting around trying to stay awake all day. Hrm. I can always go with my default Luna costume and just ditch the hat.

Dress in all grey.  You can be the shadow.

oh Hamlet would be awesome. I have a lot of victorian-type garb that could pass for Shakespearean and a porcelain skull for Yorick!

I like the all-in-grey idea, too. Low-key. I could be one of the prisoners, too (chains, rags, bruisy makeup, etc)

woot vegweb brainstorming!
