I felt that halving the numbers is the most fair way to handle it (avo/mango/etc still maintain their leads) while allowing the game to finish at a decent pace.
But, here's an alternative idea, the other method of "elimination games": Each day, every user votes for one fruit that they want to be eliminated. After 24 hours, the votes are tallied and the fruit with the most votes is eliminated. This way one fruit per day is eliminated (unless there is a tie, in which case there could either be a run off or they're both eliminated), making the game run a maximum of ~24 more days. We could allow people to change their votes before the round closes or not (people may want to save a fruit that is getting a lot of votes by changing their vote to another popular one. this can get messy, but it would be up to everyone whether or not to allow it).
I figure that there should only be one elimination game at a time, and this way we can actually make it to the vegetable one (which will probably have a lot of "contestants") and then to nuts or whatever you guys wanna do.
back on the halving thing. this is what it would look like currently if the values were halved, with odd numbers rounded up (yeah, but half-points are lame)

Just leave them as they are! We are in no hurry here. We still have quite a few that can be eliminated before we get to omg this will never end....then we can do a poll or something with a few fruits. Why do you have such a boner for ending it?! LOOK AT THE VOTES

if you vote against random-fruit and for avocado, though, avocado will still benefit just as much. and tbh i don't think either mango or avocado are going down any time soon. if the pro-mango-anti-avocado side also did that, you fellas could eliminate some of the peon fruit while keeping your favs... :-*

ok, i won't. but i'll keep voting out other fruits (in favor of peaches, of course). I didn't realize until doing the half-list thing that apricots are still on there. What's up with that? They're just inferior peaches, clearly.

No, nectarines are my back-up fruit. I'll throw apricots under the bus, where they will be squished into a paste of mediocrity. Just 'cause it looks like a peach doesn't make it awesome (example: plums).
My hierarchy goes: peaches nectarines pineapple banana (everything else) (fruits i have never tried) mango
