This is so NVR I don't need to point that out in the header, BUT I know there are a lot of BA degree holders here so I thought I'd post my question anyway.  (Besides we all seem to be getting in the Halloween mood.;)  )

It's well known from studies of his writings that Lovecraft was pretty racist and sexiest.  Even so I wonder if he had any contact with the international community or specifically studied international works of literature in his education?

Outside of Greek and British that is.

Any other fans or scholars happen to know?

I ask because I had one of my shower-ideas last nite (It's the only time I get any peace.)
realizing similarities of themes in physics, onmyoudou and Lovecraft.
