Hi vegweb!!  How is everyone!
In case no-one had noticed I took a VW break for a while there - grrrr! Stupid real life!

Anyways, I thought I would dedicate a whole thread to myself and give an update on what I/ we have been up to.

Well, the main reason I took a break was that my final post-grad diploma assessment was last week, so I had to take a LOT of time to prepare for that.  So, I had my assessment and I think it went ok - however, if I do fail it's my own fault as I left all my work to the last few weeks - silly me.  I was my final assessment and now my post-gradd diploma is over forEVER.  Yippee!!  ;)b

We have also finally submitted our visa application for NZ, so it's now just a waiting game with that.  We'll probably get assigned a case officer within the next 3 or 4 months and then hopefully a decision will be made a month or so after that.  We're really hoping to move out in Mar next year - in time for the start of winter, great! Not.

N got a job a few weeks ago - yes a job in the UK.  But he was totally honest with them and explained about our NZ plans and they were fine with that.  It's really good news for us as N has been unemployed for coming up for a year.  It's also a real confidence boost for him.  I don't really understand what it is he does, but apparently it will look good for his CV when we go to NZ, so all is good.  The down side is is that it is shite hours - 2pm - 10pm Mon to Thurs, but sod it, it's a job.

Last week end we went to an amazing dance festival.  Much drinking occurred, with lots of cool bands and some funky dancing from me and N!

It is my last day employed at my hospital tomorrow - yippee!!  I will be staying on at the same hospital even though I don't particularly like my job.  However, as I'll be locuming it will be exactly the same job but over double the rate I'm on now, so I think I can handle it ::)

Ummm, I think that is all that has happened in my life over the past few weeks (in no particular order).  It's good to be back on VW even if I am completely lost due to the new forum layout - I'm sure I'll get used to it soon :)
