When you do get to Toronto in 2008 to start your naturopathic training, let's go out to dinner. I know a really good vegetarian/vegan restaurant we could go to. My dad and half of my relatives are from Newfoundland and I love "the rock". Would be fun to meet!

I would love love love to go out to dinner with you, Di. It's so neat that you have family from Newfoundland... may I ask whereabouts (sorry, we Newfs are always asking where one another are from, just in case we might know someone the other knows.. or are related--it's a small island!)? I've always wondered what it'd be like to find someone on VegWeb from my area and go meet them. The internet is a little unnerving sometimes, but pretty amazing in that it can be the catalyst in connecting like-minded individuals. I have a friend at that school in TO! She is in her first year now and really enjoying it. There are TONS of amazing veg restaurants, health food stores, and all that good stuff in Toronto. I have been working my way through most of them. Easiest place to be vegan! Except for at sports games; the ACC is just not with the times yet so beware if you want to see a Leafs game...

hee hee hee...Who would want to see a Leafs game? Oh my, can you tell I was born in Montreal? Montreal Canadians all the way! ;D
Montreal is one of my favorite cities! I make a point to get there once or twice a year. I've been taking a series of Thai massage and Ayurvedic health classes. I am not usually a city dweller but I always feel at ease there.

Haha! Good question. I don't think I am... I just checked all their last names (Power, McCann and Doyle) and neither comes to mind as a possible relation.
My mom is from Newfoundland, all my grandparents and cousins etc are sprinkled throughout St. John's and Conception Bay. I'v been to MUN a few years ago for a wrestling tournament. I absolutely love it down there, everytime I have to leave I never want to. I live about an hour from Toronto and am first year university. I love veg web and can't wait to go back down home this summer!
Small world, I have been to Toronto before to visit family. I have an Aunt and Uncle that live there. Such a beautiful city. I look forward to going back one day!
