killer cut fb! I can't go shorter than i just did, cut off like 8 inches, my hairdresser refused to cut it shorter. boobs thread here i come!
the shortest I have ever gone is just above chin length.....I prefer me with long hair (looks-wise) and it's easier for me to deal with when it's long - if it's long the weight pulls it down and I don't need to straighten it or anything. When it was chin length it did the stupid flip out thing and so I would blow dry it and straighten it every 2 days......boring.
N also doesn't like short hair on girls so i keep it long for him too.
a couple of months ago I took the clippers to my head and it looked like shit. at least I dont have to post boobs! ;)

My computer has died so when I get my pictures off it I will show one of my hair the shortest it has been. I have been wanting to cut it ultra short like pixie/shorter for EVERRRRR but I have not yet. I will one day. For now I am enjoying the ginge.
Ooh I did get excited though, my hair is now probably the longest it has ever been. I know this because it has reached my nipples. I announced this in a restaurant tonight :P Haha so if I don't cut it off and have to post a pic of my boobs you won't even see them muwhahahaha!

I think I have everyone here beat with short hair. I had waist long hair until my early twenties, then cut it to chin length and wore it that way until my mid thirties. Then I took the plunge and had it cut very very short. I can't figure out how to post a pic here (and am running out of time at the moment) but if you can see my little profile pic my hair is less than an inch in length. I absolutely love it. I threw away my hairspray a long time ago and require very little maintenance, just washing with my essential oils and combing and that's it. Very freeing. The only drawback is I have to have it trimmed every three to four weeks to keep it short. I just get a very basic cut. I have very very thick hair too so I have to get it thinned down with a razor when I have it cut. I also have to make sure to cover my head more in winter weather.
I like to wear dangly earrings and it looks good with short hair. You guys should try it! Long hair is overrated.

*whimpers* ... but it's so easy to take care of. I have super fine hair, so when it's short my scalp really shows through (I tried it a couple of years ago). My hair is of the super-straight-won't-hold-a-style variety, so I often only have to finger it into a ponytail - no brush required. I like that I get it cut whenever I feel like it, which is usually in the handful of times a decade category.

My hair is usually to my waist or thereabouts, and I have serious comfort zone issues if it's not at least at boob-covering length. In my first semester of college, I cut off and donated about 12 inches, leaving my hair at about shoulder length...I hated that shit. Maybe if I knew anything about styling the damn stuff, I wouldn't have such reservations about having short hair...
No, that's not even true. Folks like fb, naturebound, and my sister, for instance, can look adorable with short hair... This is just. not. the case. with me.

Hh I think the scalp showing was my problem. My hair isn't straight but isn't thick enough to pull off the 1/8 inch long thing. I sort of want a faux hawk now.

lol, thanks! Yeah, I made the ears out of paper plates, paint, synthetic felt (aka, no wool), and clear beading string (like fishing line). Oh, and ribbon. :)
