So, I was just thinking, wouldn't it be awesome to have the decor in each room of your house be inspired by a food? Like, I was cutting up eggplant today, making my accidental eggplant chips, and I though, wow, this eggplant looks so pretty against this green plate! I would love to have a room inspired entirely by eggplant colors. And then I thought there could be ones inspired by mangoes and apples and sweet potatoes and pretty much any other pretty food.

I just caught up with this thread, I've been reading for about half an hour. It makes my brain, too, go bonkers. I've gotten distracted away from half the things I wanted to comment on. Oh well.
Today I will make an attempt at minestrone, because I have cute stelline pasta I want to use. And a leek to use up. Maybe I'll have to attempt some bread to dunk in my soup.
This is my first weekend-on-the-weekend - no more Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule for me!.... and I don't know what to do with myself. I made a purdy rainbow necklace yesterday out of big random foil beads. :)

Today I went thrift store shopping - got some used (but in perfectly good condition) yoga blocks, a bag full of clothes and shoes for $5 (2 pairs of sandals, 1 pair of pants, 3 shirts, and a slip), and also a book (The Kite Runner). :bear2: <-- This guy's really happy that I got a lot of neat stuff for cheap. Look at him, he's jumping for joy!
I checked out some used breadmachines - there were three at one store, really cheap, but I couldn't make up my mind. I'm searching online for manuals for them, and will go back to the store next week to make my final decision.
That's what I did today. Hum dee dum.

I want to thank hh for explaining how to insert images in the post...several people told me how..and I tried those things..but they never worked! I didn't know you had to copy image location, and then insert THAT!

I live in northern california, amongst the redwoods. No cities anywhere near me, and it's usually cold. Like sometimes too cold. Except right now...we're having a HEATWAVE. It's not supposed to do this here!! It's supposed to be foggy, and gray, and kinda dreary. It hasn't rained in weeks, which is SO weird. It's been in the 90's. And I just got finished w/ my 3rd day in a row at work. yay, tomorrow I get to sleep in!! It's been nuts at work. It's the weekend, but not any weekend, Grad weekend, there's a full moon, we're having a heatwave, and people are being really dumb. So glad to be home.

Anytime Patrick and I go to any social gathering (party, etc.) we just talk to each other..and stay away from others..and wait until we can leave.....I think we're on the path toward companion....reclusive..ness...
