Reasons to frown

Ok, so we have a smiling thread. This thread is for all of the little dumb things that make you frown, or angry, or sad, etc., etc.
I'll start. I had chili for lunch today. I brought some crackers for the chili and a banana for breakfast. THE CRACKERS ABSORBED THE BANANA FLAVOR THROUGH THE BAG, SO I HAD BANANA FLAVORED CHILI FOR LUNCH! >:(
We didn't close on the house today. I has a sad.
When we bought our house, they postponed the closing like 4 times. It was so aggravating, so I feel your pain. Don't get discouraged.

No Seattle for me.. turns out that my roomie's boyfriend is 3 1/2 hours away from Seattle, not 1. Looks like I won't be able to go see my friend. :(

That SUCKS. I hate people who don't take responsibility, especially men who try to shirk their obligations to their children.

And then when the guy is retired and lonely and bitter he will suddenly want to "have a relationship" (ie sponge off) with the boy he abandoned in utero and he "just won't be able to understand" why Sonny isn't having any.
My dog had a UTI, and while on antibiotics his symptoms disappeared. But now 3 days after the antibiotic ended, he woke me 3x during the night to go out. Next step is a needle extraction of urine through the abdomen to culture. I know it's not painful, but this dog will be freaked out by having to lie upside down on a table, and he weighs over 80 lbs, so getting him up there will not be super easy. He's so scared at the vet's he shakes all over. :(
:( Sorry, uS. I hate pet funerals. I remember back when one of my hamsters passed, I wanted to say something and my friends were making fun of it. Totally not cool. Animals hold my heart. Hope you find Zeus.
Me too. One of our guinea pigs died a long time ago, and Katie and I wanted to have a proper burial, but my roommate kept saying "just throw it in the garbage." The garbage?! Um, no, this was a life, not a piece of trash. I was mad at him for a long time because of that.
eta: Not to mention the people who gave me a hard time for taking one of the pigs to the vet and spending $90 to get her better. "Just let it die and buy another one, it's cheaper."
It made me sad, but I had to "dispose" of my dead turtle in the garbage because he died during the flooding, and the ground was not stable enough to dig a hole for him. I put him in a box and said goodbye. I'm still sad, and I'm thinking of getting another turtle to keep my remaining turtle, Spike, company.
This weather is not helping my happiness. :(

I drove 25 minutes to go to a place that has vegan doughnuts. Had to walk 5 blocks after i parked to get there. The hours online are TOTALLY wrong and they say they're open late but they close at 3:30. And the movie theater was across the street so i decided to go there but there were no movies for another hour. And right when i started walking back it started raining so i walked back in the rain (rain wouldn't have been bad if it wasnt crazy cold rain).

soooooo my husband has been doing this second job for the last couple of months, where he fixes wooden pallets on a Saturday morning for $1.50 per wooden board.
He's done maybe five sessions, averaging 120-ish boards per time.
And the staff have been dicking around with paying him, so we haven't seen any cash for his hard work yet. Then today, I checked our account online and there's a deposit for $138.00. Say whaaa? He's done over $1,000 worth of work, I have no idea why they paid us $138.
I don't know, maybe this should only be slanty face, not frown, because at least we finally got something, but still. I've really been waiting for that money to come in so I can put it in our savings account : (
I can attest to veganhippie's suggestion. My roommate spent the night at her girlfriend's house tonight, so I had the apartment to myself. When I got out of the shower, I danced around the house naked singing along to Lean on Me and Here Comes Your Man! :jamming:
Something about doing that is cathartic... it clears the blues away! Sometimes I think society would benefit if psychiatrists prescribed things like laughter and dance every once in a while rather than just reaching straight for the prescription pad.

The speakers in my car just stopped working today.. One kind of works very quietly with no bass at all. Fixing this will most likely cost money. And I'm a bad driver without loud music.
An example of this is when i was about 1 inch from getting into a crash that would have most likely killed me today on the drive right after they went out. I was changing lanes to get around a bus and this car sped the heck up and i almost slammed into it.
No i'm all scared of changing lanes again. I was shaking all day
