Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D
1. a good friend of mine finally returned from her 3-week stint in Poland, and we had a sweet dinner party lastnight to celebrate
2. I booked a campsite for July! Going camping with some awesome people!
3. Pride is coming up in less than a month!!! :D
4. My herbs and peas are REALLY growing!
5. The weather here is getting super nice.

An unexpected day off yesterday as my student bailed. Yees, I miss the money, but I was lazy and did nothing but read and veg out. Didn't even print anything out. Nada. I needed the downtime.

RAIN. Yesterday, and again today. Just a little, but enough to cool things down, wash pollen out of the air and make the green areas smell wonderful.
After years of dreaming, finally getting the chance to be an extra in a "real" movie ("The Blind Side" - IMDb it, Yo)
the fact that it's PAID work: $100 for a 12-14 hour day
wrapping a film shoot an hour earlier than expected (11 hours instead of 12!)
knowing I get to do it all again in ~10 hours
meeting new friends
the satisfaction of finally having gotten my ass out of bed and out of the apartment, and into new and stimulating adventures
Yeah, the past two weeks+ have been especially rough......for a while there, I was honestly afraid of what was to happen to my overall health if things had continued the way they were going (srsly, Y'all, it was BAD)..... But some other things came along, most unexpectedly, and just in time.
*sigh of relief*

At last! Getting back into "real" cooking, starting with a double-crust berry pie of some kind

Well done our CW! I too battled agoraphobia this week...realised if I didn't go out today it would be 3 full days. Which as I am busy all Monday morning would mean that by Tuesday I would be physically incapable of leaving the apartment. So I went out and did some errands. DH was faffing around as usual, so I simply grabbed my purse and keys and said, "Be back directly." (Which is an Iowa phrase if ever there was one!)

I finally finished quilting the lap quilt I've been working on all year. It's off kilter, and it still has to be bound, sleeved and signed, but I'm really almost there. The rest is sewing machine work.
