30 day shred!

I know several of us are doing the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels, so we can talk about it here. I've really liked it. I like Anita better, but I do what Natalie's doing. I'm still on level 1, and I think today is day 6. I haven't done it consecutively, because I didn't feel like doing it during my sick with cold death-phase, but I think I can do every day now. On to level 2, soon! I'm annoyed that I can't skip past Jill's speech at the beginning, but oh well!

I might want to get another workout thing to mix it up a bit and I'm interested in dance but I always have trouble following complicated moves. Is there anything you recommend?

this is the only dance one i've done and it's really fun!! it's super simple too. it's called firm it up by suzanne cox.

oh, I just looked and I couldn't find that on itunes. It's too much of a pain to order dvds internationally, so oh well. thanks for the suggestion though. I'm sure I can find something else to do. I really don't feel like doing my 4th shred today. my right arm is really sore and I'm just tired. but I should just do it.

yeah, I did it. I still can't do the last set of crunches properly the whole time.

I got my bf to shred with me over the weekend. He'd been doubtful that it could really be a good workout when I told him about it but after he did it he was drenched with sweat and out of breath. He wants to keep doing it with me but it's not really working during the weekdays since he's crunching and getting home so late. Crunching at work, not his abs.

Oh yeah, and today I finally bought some hand weights to use instead of my lame little cans. They are only 1 kg each so I don't feel much difference with the bicep curls and chest flys or whatever they're called, but the ones where you raise your arms out in front while doing lunges... ooh is that hard.

anyone still doing this? I am back on it. I think I've done it for over a month. Totally doable. NOt as time consuming at p90x . I turn down the volume and listen to my own music.
I think I want to try her other videos too. ANyone tried others by JM???

I am doing this video a couple times a week.  (I like to rotate my workouts so I don't get bored.)  I love it!

I love Jillian's other videos Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones.  One uses weights & one doesn't, but they're both awesome workouts.  They're longer than 30 Day Shred; like 55 minutes each, I think?

I also have Jillian's Yoga Meltdown, but I don't like it very much.  It's a decent workout, but I think she's annoying in it & it's not really yoga...

Another video I really like is by Jackie Warner, Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training.  If you play the full-length video, it's like 50 minutes, but there is also a chapter index where you can do a 15 minute full body workout, 15 minute upper body workout, 15 minute lower body workout, and 15 minute ab workout.  It kicks my ass!

I kinda like Yoga Meltdown, I agree, its not really yoga, and her empowering statements are way annoying, but the workout is tough. The planks are hard and I feel like my wrists are going to break.  I also like how she has levels in it.  So yes, good workout, no not yoga.

I need to start shredding soon too! i do love the Shred, its a great workout!
