DHA suppliment and acne.

Okay, this is wierd, and it hasn't been too long yet so maybe this isn't true.  But I went last weekend and picked up from Whole Foods a vegetarian source of DHA and Omega 3's.  It has flax seed oil and DHA from algea in it.  I actually really like the stuff.  But I have noticed no new pimples this week, I just have the old ones that are still healing.  I was taking fish oil before and it was making me sick which was why I stopped taking it, but the fish oil never did anything for my acne.  Do you think that this new vegetarian DHA suppliment is helping my acne, or is it too premature to decide that?  I mean, it has only been a week, but my face seems to be clearing up.  Have you heard of this before?

DHA and omega 3's are known to improve skin health, so it's very possible that it can improve acne

You know, I am not sure as to the brand.

I got it at Whole Foods.  It was in the refrigerated area in the suppliments section of the store.  It was next to Udo's oil, but Udo's oil was like twice the price.

Sorry I don't know the brand name.

This oe was recommended on another vegan website.  Couldn't find it at Whole Foods when I went today. Has anyone else tried it?

I just read a little article today in Fitness magazine  that said:

"Consider supplementing with omega-3s, essential fatty acids found in fish oil and flaxseed that regulate oil production in your skin.  Experts suggest getting at least 1.1 grams per day to fight blemishes and keep skin moisturized."

I hope there is truth to this, because I will try it immediately!  This is the first time I have seen the connection made for oiliness and blemishes.  :)>>>
