What are some good meals you eat before you menstrate?
I try and eat a lot of avocadoes and add omega oil to meals... but i cant think of any other good things to eat...
I cant really eat spicy foods and I was always told to eat warm coloured foods and leafy greens.
I avoid sugar, coffee and wheat regularly and i stop drinking alcohol a few days before. drink lots of water too.
any other help would be great :)
ive read that iron rich foods are good since you lose iron during menstruation.
beans, broccoli, leafy greens..

The ultimate comfort food for those difficult days!!
Im okay with comfort foods... sweet poataoe fries .. i like salt at that time.. they only time of the month i ever want salt.. thats why i have vegetable salt.
I gues you cant really get fresh chard or many leafy green here so i have to buy frozen spinach and i dont like so much. Ive been eating alot of cabbage lately and im always eatting tahini on and in everything plus beans nearly everyday if not, then tvp or tofu. I just have Quinoa again so ill make something with that.
I also realised a little while ago that molasses is a good source of iron, so i try and have it in my smoothies a few times a week.
But i eat a lot of lentils so i dont know if iron is my problem...
Iron may not be a problem, but with the pain issues I suggest things heavy in magnesium.
almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, millet and soya things.
I dont think i eat too much of magnesium. At most i probably get the right around. Since i mainly eat tahini but no more than 4 tbsp a day.
I had a test a year ago for my magnesium levels and they were fine, he was actually suprised.
