Chocolate chip help!

We can no longer get our beloved chocolate chips from bulk, and I've yet to find any suitable ones in the grocery stores! P loves his chocolate chips, and I want some for baking. I haven't looked at every single bag, but I haven't seen any yet. I saw the tropical source brand, but they were like $5 for a small bag. Any common brand that you all buy? I've looked at some at United Marketstreet, and Albertsons. Where do you find the ones you buy? Which do you get? ???

I believe the Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips are vegan. I've seen them at Walmart, if you care to go there - if I had another choice I wouldn't.
Target has vegan Ghirardelli dark bars. Forth Worth/Plano has a bunch of hfs, but if the prices are like here, chocolate chips will be $5 a bag, only maybe you'd be able to find a better tasting brand than Sunspire, like Enjoy Life.
I second the Ghiradelli suggestion. Also, at the Cub Foods I shop at here at home, there is a brand (Guittard, I think) that comes in a foil-like orangey bag that's vegan friendly. They aren't cheap, but cheaper than Ghiradelli, so I buy them most of the time. But I've never seen them at Walmart or Target, so I'm not sure how widespread they are.
Ok, Ghiradelli semi sweet. I thought I looked at those, but maybe it was just the other Ghiradelli ones. I'll check for those. :)
if you have a safeway or related companies around you their organic brand called O Organics chocolate chips are vegan and are soooo yummy!
We love the Enjoy life brand mini choc chips. very good
yay for Ghiradelli semi sweet!! Not too, too expensive. I also saw the Enjoy Life, but they were more expensive for a smaller bag.
Nope. None of that.
I usually get the Ghiradeli-gold bag, dark choc ones, (they have them everywhere here, Super Target has the best price on them, (under $3/bag) If you find the Enjoy life ones on sale though, I think they taste much better than any other choc chips.

See, I thought I had checked that one too! Maybe it was the super dark, or something. Good to know I have several options.
I definitely miss Safeway's O Organics brand chocolate chips. Delicious and affordable!
Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips; I'v been baking with these for a few years and now one knows my stuff is dairy free/vegan and the best part is their at least cheaper then the other brands.
Ghiradelli semi-sweet, Trader Joe's semi-sweet, Organic 365 Brand, Enjoy Life, Guittard has one vegan kind too I think
+1 on Guittard.
I had a hard time getting chocolate chips when I was at school. I'd taken the big "pound plus" bars that TJs has (got them occasionally when I went home), melt some squares, pour it in a thin layer in a pan, freeze it, and then shatter it. Chocolate "chips"!
I don't know if you have Kroger, but Kroger brand semi-sweet ones were vegan last time I checked.
I am a recovering chocolate chip addict, and I have to say that Enjoy Life is the best.....eat some of those and THEN eat Ghiradelli and you will see what I mean. But if you have the Ghiradelli first, they taste OK>
What I really wanted to say, was that I bought some Sunspire Vegan Carob Chips expecting them to taste like crap, and they were heavenly! Definitely different than chocolate chips, but awesome in their own right. Much less sugar, so I give them to Lyle as a treat. He loves the chips too.

That's what you had to post?! ::)
haha, no I'm kidding. I really want to try those Enjoy life ones, but they are so much more expensive. I'm pretty sure I've seen those carob chips, too, but I was like...ew, carob. I'll have to check them out. :-*
i really don't like the taste of carob chips :( i think i used the sunspire ones
Carob chips are ok, but they always burn in my cookies before the cookies are even done (?)

That used to happen to me when I used them.
