This doesn't really have a vegan message per se, but I like it a lot:

I like the "beef, its whats rotting in your colon" one. I think it would be hilarious to get my parents matching  "proud parent of a vegetarian" shirts! They are so not proud!  ;D

i was thinking that, too. christmas? ha ha... i don't know if they would wear them.

on a side note, when they give little tofus faces it makes me not want to eat them. they are sooo cute.
also, *ahem*, i don't mean to start something crazy, but what do you guys think about the green/veg*n consumer culture? with so many people siting reasons like the environment and sustainability and then consuming 'for good?'
i always thought of the green movement as well intended but misguided... yeah, i'm afraid to admit it.

oooo, what do you mean?  Like people who switch to a veg*n diet for the earth, not for the animals?

I kind of agree with you hespedal.  I don't have a problem with people wearing shirts to promote veg*nism or living green and stuff (you have to have clothes anyway and at least lots of cafepress stuff is org cotton...the shipping is another issue  :-\), but I did hear a report on NPR about stuff like carbon credits.  Like, how all these famous people live in 10,000 sq ft houses and fly in private jets, but then buy $200 worth of carbon credits or drive a Prius to show people how "green" they are.  I think THAT is a bit contradictory.  They actually said that most people choose the Prius over the Civiv hybrid because everyone recognizes it as a hybrid (more so than the civic) and they like the "praise" they get for driving green.  ::)

T-shirts sources come up regularly enough to have them in the Q&A topic.  I'm too lazy right now to check if someone has done that.  I'll add my source here, if someone adds the topic.

I like a couple of shirts from Alloy (www.alloy.com)

what i mean is, people who are very very into the environment (and the like) are often very caught up in all these cute little things (that are 'green' aka produced with wind energy, using only organic natural resources, etc.) that are completely unnecessary. "cool, i can get this prius and drive it guilt-free because it only uses X amount of gas," when really they could be walking, biking, bussing, etc. I am not saying that particular situation holds true for everyone (maybe they do NEED that, as lotus said), but i think a lot of unnecessary consumption ensues from having a plethora of 'green' products (and i keep putting green in quotes because it is all just a label, really. how many people actually look into and think about everything that went into the production of their widget? i am sure if they did they would not be consuming it, or at least not in excesses or thoughtlessly. what those people should be focusing on is living minimally, just being. ya know?

yeah, i agree you need clothes, but how many people have an excess amount :::raises hand::: i decided about a year ago i was not going to buy clothing unless i absolutely needed it. so far, i haven't needed anything. now, when i used to buy clothes i always bought at thrift stores, anyway, which is good because it is reusing... but i figure someone else could buy whatever i was buying at the thrift store which will keep them from buying something else new and in turn lower production? maybe i am just a wishful thinker, but man i try hard to lower my impact, and most of the time it means going without modern luxuries. food and drink are my main vices. and when i say food i mean food i don't need (maybe it is excessively packaged or mainly just sugar--no nutrients) but i will indulge. and when i say drinks i mean booze. i haven't indulged in either for a while now and i am hoping to keep it up!

ummm... other than that, i also read an article about how from production-driving-disposal the prius is actually more of a consumer than the hummer. i am not sure weather to believe it yet but i was actually about to post in on here saying something about how it (the possible untruthfully) summed up my thought on the green movement. not quite holistic enough.

and to make this even longer!.. i am not dogging you for buying green, it is great to do so, i just think we should probably think of our overall consumption before we guiltlessly consume something we do not need.
