Help, I need shoes and a matching clutch/smallish evening bag to go with the dress below.
I've been looking all day and I can only find really hideous stuff.

It's going to be cold and snowy the night I'm wearing it so I'm thinking non-sandal heels would be best. But I'm open to possiblities :)
I was actually hoping to find a vegan version of these: :-\

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good online vegan shoe store? I've been to all the ones I know of and haven't seen anything. Thanks!
Of course everyone should post links to the shoes and purses that they buy - on the Product Reviews! :D :D
That being said, I agree with Luda - try the cheap shoe stores, don't know about Germany, but here it's clearly marked "manmade materials for sole and upper" or something similar.
And MDvegan - you don't need a consultant, you wear stilettos! You should post your foot for the vegweb body part avatar!!
Oh, and by the way JH, you're going to look so freakin' cute in that preggers evening gown! What's the occasion?
Awesome dress, JH!
And MD, stilettos and a Chanel necklace? That's fab in itself.
LB- You do seem to have a knack for this... I might need to call on you some day when I get a "real" job and need to look "professional"... yet chic. ;)
I mean, really, who would think a heeled boot? But I picture it and I can totally see it working! Kudos, LB.
the newest pair of shoes that i got were actually at a department store. i found a couple vegan shoes (dont know about the glue, but there was no leather) and picked out some really cute ones... alright... they were for my job, but still! they weren't bad. Maybe I got lucky, but I think that there are a lot more options out there than we think at the regular stores.
Damn girl! Where you goin in that fancy getup?! You BETTER post pictures of you in that dress!!!!!!!!!!

DEFINITELY! (And adorable/sexy dress, JH!) I actually used to stress over finding nice, classy shoes in "regular" stores after going vegan, but it's so much easier than I thought! I have found a lot of shoes at Target, and nicer department stores. I'm not sure about in Europe (but mdvegan's suggestions are a great start for online shopping!), but finding vegan shoes is seriously so much easier than I had feared... I have stumbled across quite a few pair without even trying! :D

*sigh* No where now... :'(
I was going to 2 balls in January... I was actually excited, until DH called last night and told me he will be gone for a few weeks (instead of just 1 week like we thought) so we won't be going. It's okay... we had no idea what we were going to eat there anyway, they didn't even have a vegetarian option. ::) We would have ended up eating the parsley on our plates. But I wanted to get dressed up! :'(
DH told me to buy the dress and everything anyway and "we'll find somewhere to go" ... LOL yeah, right! Uh somewhere random to go in formal wear? Like that would happen. I dunno... maybe I'll still get it. I really liked the dress for a maternity gown and I'm pretty sure I could wear it afterward with minor alterations if any at all.
Hey, maybe I'll throw a formal party myself! Then I can wear it at home! LOL :D

Oh, sad! But I do like that idea... ;)
BOO! I really wanted you to wear that dress and find fabulous vegan accessories to go with it :(
Definitely throw a party! That way you can wear your fabulous dress, pretty shoes of either the strappy or spikey variety and eat loads of vegan food! haha
I don't know about the shoes, I like to stick to Earth shoes and flats, opposed to heels. But this is a really cool company who makes bags and totes out of old truck tire innertubes, completely vegan and the company is owned by a fellow veg*n:

I know me too! I'm so not a trendy purse carrier. Functionallity and the ability to carry nappies, wipes, toys, snacks... oh and can I still squeeze in my wallet and some chapstick? is my motto. I might add that their newest seamstress is way cool too (hint hint).
I remember Apstaats thread about handbags had some good links.
