Vegan Boots & Shoes

I always have the WORST time finding professional, good-looking dress shoes that are vegan. So does my husband. This week we both found shoes we are very happy with.
My husband's shoe is the JUSTIN, available at Mooshoes.com. It comes in brown and black.
My shoe is the "WOMEN'S CHOICE" by LifeStride, available at shoes.com. It comes in dark brown, light brown, and black.
At shoes.com, you can type in "vegetarian" in the search area and get their non-leather shoes. At zappos.com, they have a vegetarian shoes link on the right side of the screen.
Hope someone finds this helpful!
Thanks for the support!
secondbase: We will have other styles eventually, but this is the only style we're making right now.
Allychristine: For now, it's going to be men's shoes. Sticking with what I know. My girlfriend has let me know that she's more than happy to put some input in on women's styles though.
Glen Ellyn Service Crew: The price point was a big consideration for these. Plus, the quality of the shoe is nicer than any of the other shoes that I've personally worn in that price range. In the case of the brown shoe, I've bought $100+ pairs of shoes and they scuff after only wearing them a handful of times. I've been wearing my pair for about 3 weeks now and no scuffing at all. I'm really happy with them.
Thanks for the response! ;)b
Any idea when you might be making larger sizes? I wear a 12, so no inexpensive fancy shoes for me. :(
I was just on the http://www.payless.com/ site and they spec out materials in the description.
Its hit and miss, but I found some dressier footwear for $30 or less...
I ended up getting these http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Mens&SLC=MensCasual&BLC=MensCasualCasual&Width=Regular&ItemCode=58716&LotNumber=058244&Type=Adult&Popularity=49&DescriptiveColor=Black they looked better in person and on my foots.
Some men's shoes might be OK, but I do like heels. Wide shoes are hard to find, even in leather though.
I hate my big feet. :-\
I'm feeling you, as a wide footed guy it's even hard. I've found vegan sneakers in my EEEE wide feet, but am having a seriously hard time finding more casual vegan shoes for my width.
If anyone knows of any sites for men's shoes that includes wide sizes let me know.
Melissa shoes are pretty cute and funky. If you don't mind the plastic factor, even if they are all recycled.

Oh, thats exciting!
I haven't been to Payless in years....I'm totally going this weekend!
Hello! I've been searching around for some vegan-friendly, sweatshop-free athletic sneakers, and I'm having a hard time finding some. Most of the vegan sneakers I find are more casual style than athletic, can't work out in those!
Any recommendations?
I have New Balance. They're mostly vegan, the only thing that they can't really guarantee is what type of glue was used because it changes constantly.
I have Saucony. A lot of their styles are non-leather, and they only do running shoes. Like CK, though, I'm not sure about the glue, or the conditions under which they were made.
I don't know about sweatshop-free, but I know Onitsuka Tiger has some vegan styles.
Puma lists all of their materials pretty clearly, and I have some excellent animal-free shoes from them.
I have New Balance, but check before you buy them, I think some are made in China and some in US.
I have New Balance sneakers, too. Comfortable and very good wear.

I had trouble finding information on whether they are also ethical/sustainable in other ways (these particular ones are made in Indonesia, uh-oh...), but veganessentials sell them too, and they say they have quite a rigorous vetting process to make sure products are sweatshop-free etc., so I hope I can wear them with a clear conscience!
