Vegan Multivitamins and stuff

Okay, so I went to try to find some vegan vitamins today at the organic store. I asked about them, and the guy said that this one brand is, it "has a little bit of fish oil in them for the" whatever "but other than that they're vegan." Uh, NO! That's completely wrong. Fish oil would make them NOT vegan! So, I went to a GNC store, so I have some questions:
1) Is the GNC Multivitamin Vegetarian Multivitamin 100% VEGAN? It have lecithin powder, biotin, and choline (bitartrate), but it says specifically "vegetarian" on the box.
2) Is the GNC Vitamin B12 500 Vegetarian Supplement 100% VEGAN?
If anyone knows, that would be brilliant. Also, what is "cyanocobalamin" and is it VEGAN?

I was promised at Whole Foods that a certain brand "Rainbow something" is vegan.  I'll look at the bottle and report the whole name once I get home if you're interested.  As far as I can tell, they told me the truth!

T, it's Rainbow Light. That's what I use - Rainbow Light Just Once Naturals - it specifically says Vegan on the label.

I knew it did say "Vegan" on the label but after reading about the vegetarian gelatin (Emes) lie, I don't trust anybody, anymore.  I at least read the label even if I don't obsess too much over the iffy ingredients.  I try to buy somethings like deodorant, soap, and hair care products from Whole Foods (even if it may be a bit more expensive) and hope that Whole Foods is ethical enough not to stock something where the "vegan" label is false.  I don't have time or energy to write every company and ask about their ingredients.  Some one else can make that their hobby.  I like to spend my extra time saving novice vegetarians from the horrors of Yahoo Answers!

cyanocobalamin is the synthetic form of b12 so you should be ok :)

Cyanocobalamin is vegan B12. www.pcrm.org is a website run by vegan doctors, it is a brilliant source for health or medicinal issues. You should find answers there.

The only thing you'd need to worry about is the lecithin.  Is it from soy or egg?  Some people will label something vegetarian if it has egg...so that could be tricky.  I've discovered that 9 times out of 10 if it just says "lecithin", then it's from eggs.  Most people like to notify you if it's soy lecithin because it's a plus!  It should say either "soy lecithin", or "lecithin (from soy)".
