Favorite Toys/Products For Baby

I'm wondering what kinds of toys and things both babies and experienced mamas like?  My daughter is becoming more and more interested in her playmat rattles and mobiles.  I don't want to go overboard with stuff for her, but would like to get her some "good" toys.  Also, other product recommendations like lotions/washes/anything would be cool.  If you could specify appropriate ages that would be helpful too! :)

its all a blur, so thinking of the right age she had it at is hard, but I tried to get the "natural" toys at this store we have called PeaPods.  I got her a couple rattles there and a couple organic cotton dolls. Heres the link to order stuff online, or maybe you have a similar store.  Of course we had plastic stuff from the babyshowers, gifts, etc, but I tried to avoid buying those kinds of toy myself.

As she got older the bouncy seat/chair with a mobile was essential for me to get anything done around the house, we had a rainforest motif one, with a rattle bar across the top, but I think most would have the same effect.

Then around, I don't know 6 months? 7 months? the exosaucer was neccesary. Its like a walker that can't walk, just bounce a little and has a tray of a variety of toys to play with. We seriously had 2, (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs,) this is a picutre of one

I like that exosaucer thingy.  Thanks bgs!

We got an exosaucer like yours, bgs, though it'll be awhile before she can play in it.  Looks awesome though.

Also, we were given a set of soft blocks made by Taggies for Maia and she LOVES them.  I would definitely recommend them.  She's digging knocking them over, rattling them, and just looking at all the different stuff on them.  She's also very entertained by her playmat, and we can hang the blocks on there to switch things up for her too. :)

I hardly ever used the swing, exersaucer, bouncer, jumper, stroller, etc.  I kept the exersaucer in the bathroom for showers, and I supose that was helpful.  I used my baby slings more than anything else.  Taggies were a hit.  Caitlin loved cloth books.  I always advise people not to buy a bunch of the bigger items until you are sure you are going to use them.  For example, that jumparoo was very expensive on my budget, and she only used it 2 or 3 times before she outgrew it.  The swing got used even less.

Avery really enjoyed his exersaucer as well.

I'm glad you got one, mine were great for when i was cooking, doing laundry, or needed to shower.  Kea really liked being in it too, she would giggle and jump around in it.  We had a Taggies book and a Taggies stuffed animal thingy that made jingling sounds, they were both cute.  She liked being in her slings or carriers too, but as she got bigger and more active sometimes she didn't want to be in those unless i was in constant motion.
