Superstar VegWebber of the Week: abrimmer!

This week's Superstar VegWebber is abrimmer (http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=39639)! Everything about this woman is totally awesome, from the cutest ever profile pic: http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=39639 to her fabulous answers to the questions. I am now listening to Depeche Mode in honor or abrimmer day on VegWeb — I just can't get enough!

VegWebber since? I've been a VegWebber since 2005, when my daughter began having health issues. Who knew that I would make wonderful and special friends when all I originally came on for was recipes to meet my daughter's needs!

Vegetarian, Vegan or ? I am a vegetarian, although when I first signed up I wasn't. My kids and I have been vegetarian for over 3 years now.

Where do you call home? I live in Oakley, California, but my heart belongs to New England.

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb? When I'm not on Veg Web I love spending time with my family and our mini menagerie, which now includes two baby foster bunnies! Can you say UBER cuteness?  I also love volunteering, helping others, and baking. Sometimes those go hand in hand!

Do you have blog or website? Do you tweet? I don't have a blog or website, nor do I tweet, unless you count the little birdie noises I make on occasion, lol!. As a matter of fact, I don't even own a cell phone, gasp!

One unique thing should know about you? I can't really think of anything unique about myself. I'm just me. I love creamy peanut butter on my corn on the cob though. Is that unique?

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!) I'm not vegan yet, but even eating vegetarian has brought me a tremendous sense of peace. It simply makes my heart happy.

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb? I'd have to go with ANYTHING chocolate, so maybe the chocolate fondue. Everything is better dipped in chocolate!

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? I think baked goods are always a great way to introduce people to vegan food. I would choose the super moist chocolate cake with some thick chocolate frosting. Do you see a theme running through my recipe choices? lol! If it were an entree, I would go with a good old shepherd's pie, no chocolate included!

Favorite healthy recipe on VegWeb? I am a HUGE salad fan and love avocados! I would pick the chickpea avocado salad. I might even make it with black beans.

Favorite VegWeb recipe for 4th of July? Potato Angels!!  I tried these this Easter and my whole family loved them. They are sooooooooo much better than deviled eggs!!

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet? I would love to be able to make a vegan angel food cake!

#1 Cooking secret/tip? Don't be afraid to experiment in the kitchen and always keep trying new flavors.

Best music to cook by? I am a HUGE Depeche Mode fan!!

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? Since you didn't say past or present, I'm going to assume it can be either. I would choose my dad because I miss him every single day; Jesus and Gandhi. I know, not very original, but I think it would make for a special and memorable dinner.

All time favorite restaurant? I don't eat out very often and don't really know of any vegan restaurants in our area. My hubby did buy me an awesome cinnamon roll from Cinnaholics in Berkeley though, YUM!

French fries or ice cream? Garlic fries!! But my hubby likes to dip his fries in vanilla shake, eeeewwww!

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? I love all 3 provided they're chocolate, but I recently stumbled on Kikkoman Pearl coffee flavored soy milk and I am completely in love!

Tofu, tempeh, or seitan? I'm a tofu girl!

Yay ab! :)
