Superstar VegWebber of the Week: Tweety!
This week's Superstar VegWebber is probably the most welcoming person on the planet. If you're new to VegWeb, he's there to say hello and show you the ropes. Yes, it's the marvelous and wonderful Tweety! (check out his profile here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=14730)! I thought I was special when he welcomed me to the site with such open arms but then I saw that he does this with everyone and thought, "Okay, this guy is the best." Funny, smart, and fabulous, I honestly can't imagine VegWeb without Tweety. Also, he's been here since 1996 or 1997, RESPECT! Tweety, you rule, thank you so much for being the greatest!!
VegWebber since? I'm going to guess and say 1996 or 1997. VegWeb was one of the first sites I visited regularly when I first got internet.
Vegetarian, Vegan or ?? - Vegan, but only since Sept. It was through encouragement from fellow vegwebbers that I finally made the plunge and after nearly 18 years of vegetarianism (off and on) wondered what took me so long?

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb? I'm a registered nurse at the local not-for-profit here. I have a desk job but am returning to bedside nursing, my true love in January

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!) The peace of mind. I didn't realize what a burden being non-vegan was to my soul...that and the food! The wonderful variety of great eating is amazing.

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet?Burgers...I've yet to make one that hasn't fallen apart
#1 Cooking secret/tip? I don't really have a tip....I need instructions and follow recipes pretty precisely

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? President Obama, the Govenor of Florida, whom I loathe, and a Republican Senator...(anyone will do, I hate them all)
All time favorite restaurant?there was a place in Dunedin, FL called "Kellys" that used to have "veggie fests" on Saturday night...
French fries or ice cream? Ice cream
Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? Almond
Tempeh, tofu or seitan? Tofu...always tofu...morning, noon and night!

for a burger recipe, i have made a black bean burger on this site that turned out great

and dustin made one at work for the cafeteria and he said that he could hold them on his finger and they wouldn't break apart AND they sold out when he made them (normal hospital cafeteria and he was advertising them as vegan, too, so seems like they were a huge success!)

I need to pick their brain, and to see that they aren't evil monsters and they need to see that I'm not a perverted child molestor out to destroy the American family and way of life. Why have dinner with a hero? I'll just read the book. LOL
