Need a challenge for the new year? How about working your way through 1,000 Vegan Recipes by Robin Robertson (http://www.globalvegankitchen.com/1000V_Main.html)? If you can conquer this masterwork, you'll have my undying respect. Also, if you need recipe testers, I'm totally into it. I'll bring the wine! Not only is it filled to the brim with 1,000 vegan recipes, it also has a wealth of tips, techniques, and ideas for creating lively vegan cuisine. It's pretty much a must own.
For a chance to win the cookbook, all you have to do is let me know what your New Year's Eve plans are!
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, January 5th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
hanging with husb after kids go to bed, make killer dinner, fold laundry, maybe sex if not too tired. Remembering that 10 years ago I had none of these things, house, hubby, kids, love etc. Life is good!
How appropriate I found this website on the last day of the year. 2009 was a good start for me. Went from 198 pounds 1/1/09 to end the year at 170 pounds. I'm determined to even do better in 2010 with a total vegan lifestyle after reading "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman about 4 times. I also read Caldwell Esselstyn's book "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" multiple times. I'm on week 13 with the treadmill I bought, averaging just under 3 miles per day during that time. As a single guy I've never been too much for cooking. Wouldn't a book with 1,000 recipes make me into the Vegan Juggernaut able to transform humanity. Who can ask for a greater legacy?? I have the will, the motivation, the passion, but I lack 1,000 recipes. Any suggestions from my new friends? :>
My 2009 New Years Eve will be filled with thoughts of cooking delicious vegan recipes.
Gary - In a Little Town in Northern NY
Staying home as usual, probably sleeping before midnight because of my time zone change. I try to make my New Yearses extremely loserly, but it's hard to top the year I stayed in watching the Lizzie McGuire marathon while sipping tea.
Hey, I just posted on Facebook that I'd liked the Movie Julia and Julia and that I should cook my way through a Vegan Cookbook. I actually would like to be trained to be a Vegan Personal Chef, so this would be my way of making sure this is truely my interest. So for today I'll be sorting through cookbooks to decide which one would be the perfect one to start on for the NEW YEAR.
This is the first New Year's that my boyfriend hasn't had to work the night shift in the four years we've been together. We're having a New Year's Eve date night, just the two of us!
dang, Y'know, I don't actually own a single cookbook...much less a totally bad-ass vegan one!
This is the second year in a row that I haven't had to work on either NYE or NYD. I'm glad I don't have to worry about getting up early tomorrow....
Tonight, I'm going to a house party with my boyfriend's brother and some of his friends. It'll be fun but chill, just how I like it. ;)b
We're driving to Albuquerque. Overnight so hopefully the baby can sleep through most of it.
OOh, what are you doing there? I'm in Santa Fe...
I'm just staying home this year, can't drink, and too many other people are drunk driving. I'll probably be asleep before midnight.
I am relaxing with some vegan snacks and goodies, movies, and my husband and three kids. I'm looking forward to it!
No big plans, just snuggling with my Honey.
My new years eve plans are to just stay home and watch the new years shows that are on tv and watch the ball drop in NYC on tv
Trying to prevent my dog from going to pieces when the neighbors set off fireworks at midnight.
after looking at the sky/researching the events in said sky, I have confirmed my decision in staying IN tonight!!!
The menu is: quiche, pasta alfredo, spinach, brownies, smores bars, apples, and doughnuts!!!
The first thing you eat in the new year dictates how it all will follow, so I plan on making it something sweet and RICH!!!
party with my bf and his friends :)
I would love this wonderful cookbook!
For New Year's Eve, we made arepas from The New York Times Bitten Blog, minus the cheese with soy milk, and ate them with black beans and avocado. Then we watched our two favorite movies from the past 10 years : Ratatouille and Le Fabulous Déstin d'Amèlie Poulin.
Happy New Year, and herre's crossing my fingers for a new cookbook!
New Years Eve for me was a quiet night in celebrating with my boyfriend! Would love to win this book!
I played board games with the very best of friends.
I hung out with the Alb crew minus Rabidchild, but plus Lotus and did some recipe testing! Twas' fun!
My plan was to stay in with my Hunnie Bunnie and find vegan recipes we like online! We're transitioning together! Found some goodies. Im sure the cookbook would help too! ::)
I arrived in Berlin, caught up on sleep, and watched people setting off fireworks in the street with my boyfriend/new roommate.
I enjoyed an amazing three-course vegan organic gourmet meal at restaurant in Pasadena, followed by a warm mug of Mexican chocolate(made with Almond Breeze) before midnight.
