Weekly Giveaway: Kelapo cold-pressed organic coconut oil! baypuppy is the winner

We're still in the trenches as far as winter is concerned. Most of the Midwest is under a layer of snow, and the rest of the country is enjoying weather that ranges from freezing rain to frigid chilly. Ugh. Well, this week's giveaway has the opportunity to transport you to the tropics. We've got a 1/2-pound jar of Kelapo cold-pressed organic coconut oil to give to one lucky VegWebber. Coconut oil is amazing in that you can use it for everything from the sweetest smelling hair conditioner to baking up in game day brownies. Let us transport you to the tropics with a jar of this scrumptious oil.

For a chance to win, let me know what foods are keeping you warm this winter!

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, February 8th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random! Must live in USA to win.

Good luck!

We're not all that cold here in AZ but it is going below freezing.  I use lots of Vegan Chili and last night I invented.  Sauteed onions, celery, mushrooms and garlic in olive oil. then added some broccoli, asparagus, a can of tomatoes, a can of chopped green chili's, oregano, cumin  and simmered for a while.  Had it over brown rice.  I liked it.  I love to make popcorn with coconut oil.  Smells and tastes great.

I've been making a lot of soup lately - I love my crock pot, and I've been playing around with various veggies, beans, and pasta to make all sorts of tasty soup.

Soups!  Yesterday, I had some delicious potato soup that my sister-in-law made for me.

So far it has been chili, soups, potatoes, cinnamon rolls for breakfast, or anything hot that I can make with ingredients on hand.

I left Montana for 9 degree temperatures in Texas...

I keep warm making soup--tonight it's carrot-ginger, tomorrow it might be spinach curry. Keeping it spicy allows me to warm up in the most delicious way, yum! : )

Mostly spicy foods-black bean tostadas with extra cumin and garlic, collard greens with hot sauce or stir fries with extra ginger and some chili oil.

I've had a strange craving for fresh summer foods lately... warm vegan pizza seems to strike a nice balance for me. I've recently come up with a new and VERY delicious topping to put on it (especially for vegan sausage pizza with Daiya cheese): chili powder and a little bit of cinnamon. It's surprisingly phenomenal!
